What’s better than bacon? Bacon that’s glazed with maple syrup—it’s salty, sweet and supremely satisfying. To minimize splatters, we cook the bacon in an air fryer. Serve with our Jammy Eggs if you like.

Ingredients

  • 5 bacon slices, halved crosswise
  • 1/4 cup (2.75 oz./85 g) maple syrup

Directions

Preheat an air fryer to 375°F (190°C) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Place the bacon in a single layer in the fry basket, without overlapping the slices (you may need to do this in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer). Insert the basket into the air fryer and cook until the bacon is about 75 percent cooked, about 7 minutes, then remove the basket. Brush or spoon a thin layer of maple syrup on both sides of the bacon. Return the basket to the air fryer and continue cooking until the bacon is crispy, about 2 minutes more. Serve immediately. Serves 2.
