Rated 5 out of 5 by redhstepson from Works great I use this for grinding coffee for a french press as well as for grinding coarse pepper for cooking. Works great for grinding things like black seed - Nigella Sativa - and other small seeds.Date published: 2017-03-18Rated 5 out of 5 by SAB23 from Great coffee Easy to Use. The grinder is geared so that not much effort is needed to turn it. Because of this, it does take a little time. However, this is the BEST coffee I've ever tasted (I use a french press)Date published: 2016-03-28Rated 4 out of 5 by TheBarb from Retro style This handsome little grinder did not work for me...as it took 10 min. to fine grind for 8 cups. . But for a small pot and/or a coarser grind, it would work well.Date published: 2015-04-08Rated 5 out of 5 by akmkh from Love at first cup! I upgraded from a blade grinder to this ceramic burr grinder. I didn't actually expect to be able to tell a difference, but my goodness, the coffee tastes amazing. It is more flavorful than before. The hand grinder is easy to use; it probably takes me 60 seconds to grind my morning beans. And one of my favorite features - it is not electric which means I can submerge and wash the entire thing. I've been telling all my coffee loving friends that they should buy this.Date published: 2015-02-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Carriepapers from Great Coffee Grinder We use this coffee grinder on our sailboat, and I must say, I love it. Simple to use, and easy cleanup. When you are away from shore power, you try to save on power consumption. My husband and I love it !Date published: 2015-01-10Rated 5 out of 5 by drrayeye from Reliable tool; great workout Well received gift sent w/Bonavita coffee maker. Other grinders broke down.Date published: 2015-01-05Rated 5 out of 5 by PeetsFan from Love this over Blade Grinder, quality grind Having worked a few years with a whole bean coffee shop, I understand the right tools make a world of difference in the final cup of coffee. I've wanted a burr grinder (for a better grind) for some time, and purchased this one at Christmas time 2013. I've used it daily. This is a GREAT little grinder. I hold the grinder in both hands, off the table top to help reduce noise. (I'm making coffee at 5AM and don't wish to wake the house) Fill the hopper to the top with beans, and in about 7-9 minutes you have 12 tbsp. of grounds for a drip brewer. It took about three adjustments to the setting to have the right grind for drip. A locking/adjustment nut for the setting is without any numbers. It's worth the detective work, in my opinion. You have a screw-on lid for the bottom glass "jar". You are not stuck with the hopper/grinder on top. While the grinder is not top-heavy, it's height and arm could get accidentally bumped.Date published: 2014-07-11Rated 5 out of 5 by GaiaLady from Does an excellent job Not everyone will get on board with hand grinding, but this little gadget does the job very well. It has infinite adjustability of the grind size and produces an even grind of the beans. The only complaint I have is that you have to hold the jar in place with one hand while grinding with the other. It has a rubber base to help prevent slippage, but it would benefit from something to anchor the unit. But it's a nice little unit and does the job well.Date published: 2013-09-17
