Although palomas are often made with grapefruit soda, we’ve used freshly squeezed grapefruit juice to boost the citrusy flavor and added sparkling cider, which provides the light, bubbly mouthfeel of a classic paloma. Sparkling apple cider can be purchased at your local grocery store. If you don’t have sparkling apple cider, there are many ways to make it at home using just a 2-to-1 ratio of apple cider to club soda or sparkling water.
