Created in collaboration with the Michelin-starred chef and Iron Chef celebrity Masaharu Morimoto, our Morimoto Sesame Ramen Dressing blends the creamy sweetness of sesame tahini with garlic, ginger, mushrooms and soy sauce. It adds a rich, velvety note to simply blanched green beans for the easiest Thanksgiving side ever, a boon on the busiest day in the kitchen of the year.

Ingredients

  • Kosher salt
  • 12 oz. (375 g) green beans, trimmed and halved crosswise
  • 1/2 cup (4 fl. oz./125 ml) Morimoto Sesame Ramen Dressing
  • 1 1/2 tsp. white sesame seeds
  • 1 1/2 tsp. black sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced on the diagonal

Directions

Bring a saucepan of salted water to a boil. Prepare a bowl of ice water and set aside.

Add the green beans to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until they’re fully cooked but still have a slight crunch, about 3 minutes. Drain the beans, immediately transfer them to the ice water and stir well. When the green beans are cool, drain and pat them dry.

Transfer the green beans to a serving bowl. Add the sesame ramen dressing and toss to combine. Garnish with the white and black sesame seeds and green onions and serve. Serves 4.
