Progressive One Handed Jar Lifter

Definition of the Hazard
The One Handed Jar Lifter is designed for use with one or both hands grabbing the handles of the Jar Lifter whose tongs grip the jar as illustrated below. The handle can detach over time causing the Jar Lifter to lose its grip on the jar. As a result, the user could drop the canning jar thereby posing a laceration hazard to the user.

The One Handed Jar Lifters affected were sold from February 22, 2012 to October 10, 2012

Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using this One Handed Jar Lifter and contact Progressive International Corporation to receive a free replacement Jar Lifter.
