Grilled Shrimp with Ancho Chili and Lime
Spice up grilled shrimp with our healthy seasoning blend, which combines ancho and New Mexico chilies with peppery spices, highlighted by tangy lime and a touch of honey. Grill lime halves alongside the shrimp, then squeeze the juice over them when serving.
- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 1 1/2 Tbs. ancho chili and lime salt-free seasoning
- Kosher salt, to taste (optional)
- 1 lime, halved crosswise
Preheat a grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
Place the shrimp in a bowl. Add the olive oil and ancho chili and lime seasoning, and toss to coat evenly. Thread the shrimp onto skewers. If desired, lightly season with salt.
Place the skewers on the grill or grill pan and cook, turning once, until the shrimp are pink and opaque and cooked through, 1 to 2 minutes per side. Meanwhile, place the lime halves, cut side down, on the grill and cook until nicely grill-marked, 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer the shrimp and lime halves to a platter and serve immediately. Serves 2 to 4.
