Rated 5 out of 5 by LePotager from My Favorite for Making Preserves This is a wonderful tool, especially if you are as much a fanatic as I am about making jams, jellies, conserves, etc. The fruit cooks evenly, no hotspots, no sticking, deep enough so there are no splatters at full boil. Love the tapered shape and the handle. Can't say enough about this pan. If you can, you need this!Date published: 2016-09-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Titustwohomemaker from Beautiful and functional This pot is so well made, it is a joy to use. Heavy construction, especially the base so it does not scorch the contents. Perfect for simmering at just the right temp for extended periods without burning. Pours easily due to the slight spout and the heavy duty handles. The handle will stay in a couple positions for convenience and safety. Love that it has clear markings for how many pints it is holding. Makes estimating your canning jars needed a breeze. Very easy to clean. Beautiful to look at and well worth the money.Date published: 2015-09-21Rated 5 out of 5 by WannabeFarms from Love love love it! Such a pleasure to use! Love its shape and markings and it is a breeze to clean.Date published: 2015-07-07Rated 4 out of 5 by Spacemaker from Just Missed 5 Stars I didn't realize the inside markings denoted IMPERIAL PINTS, QUARTS., ETC. I think WS could have done a better job of pointing that out or emphasizing that in the written description of this. That being said, I just made this season's 1st batch of jam in my new Kilner jam pot and its the perfect size plus cleans up easier than any else I own. I'm looking forward to canning season this year - this is the perfect size pan.Date published: 2015-06-16Rated 5 out of 5 by newtocanning from Great Pan! I am a newbie to canning, started last year. I recieved this as a gift and just gave my mother one for Christmas. I love it! It seems to heat very quickly and evenly. The handles don't get too hot to touch and are a nice feature to get the last remains out of the pan. I have recommened this to many friends who can. The measurements on the inside are great so you know roughly how many jars to have ready. The price is high but with a coupon and free shipping it's not horrible.Date published: 2015-01-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Judy1368 from Kilner Stainless Steel Jam Pan I found this pan to be a must in my kitchen. Even though it is expensive, it is extremely durable, love that in between batches it cleans up quick and easy. It has measurements inside the pan for quick reference. The stainless steel is of high quality and would be a wonderful gift for someone that does a lot of canning as well as an heirloom to pass down to someone in your family.Date published: 2014-10-28Rated 4 out of 5 by crumbhaven from Be very careful the measurements engraved on this pan appear to be very useful--at first glance, the pint increments appear to show you exactly how much is in the pan so you can tell whether you have the appropriate liquid, how many jars you might need etc. WRONG! the measurements are imperial pints, which are larger than US pints. Do not rely on these measures! Otherwise, the pan is excellent--heavy bottomed, conducts heat well, but not too heavy to lift. The handle design makes pouring the last bits very easy. Wish I could afford a second one!!Date published: 2014-09-11Rated 5 out of 5 by GrannyMa from TERRIFIC KETTLE!!!!! I have two and have given three away for gifts. The kettle not only is easy to use, it also has pint markings stamped on the inside. I use mine for jelly making, stock making and tomatoes and clean-up is a breeze. It is a perfect weight and the handle on the back is very useful/no spilling because the pan moved. I bought my first one about 5 years ago and I get tired before the kettle does! Still looks brand new. I know it can go in the dishwasher, but I still wash mine by hand. I guess I'm afraid it will get dull looking using the dishwasher. Love it, love it love it!!!!Date published: 2014-08-29
