Rated 4 out of 5 by Samr from Convenient I saw these in the catalog about 4 years ago, maybe longer. Great idea for one handed seasoning. We have replaced the batteries once. The pepper mill needs a gentle shake to get it to start grinding when it is turned over. I want to purchase a set as a gift but am concerned with the reviews on the plastic chipping and breaking on the current models. Based on my old set, I would say they are very good, a great idea, and good quality.Date published: 2017-01-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Katie89 from I LOVE THESE SALT AND PEPPER MILLS! I am very surprised by a lot of the reviews. I had gotten these from my wedding registry over a year and a half ago. I have never had an issue. They still work amazingly and I have not had to change the batteries once and it is definitely used daily. I am ordering several more of them as Xmas gifts because everyone who comes to my house and uses them loves them and wants them. I highly recommend!Date published: 2016-11-30Rated 1 out of 5 by Yvonnep from Salt & Pepper Mills This product is made very poorly. Both my salt and pepper mill are broken. The plastic is very cheaply made and now has broken so that I cannot close the shakers. I am very dissatisfied with this product. I received it as a gift only a year ago and it should not be destroyed. Thank youDate published: 2016-11-10Rated 3 out of 5 by BonnieProjects from Super cool but burns through batteries We loved this when we first got it as a gift - I even gave a few more as gifts! But after about a year, it started burning through batteries, even when we weren't using it. Sorry, but 6 batteries every two weeks is too high a price for a cool way to grind salt and pepper :(Date published: 2016-08-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Hane915 from My favorite pepper mill! I loved it so much that I bought the salt also. Everyone that sees it in my kitchen wants one, so I have also purchased a few as gifts. Now to my disappointment, the top of the plastic on the battery side, that connects to the peppercorn holder portion, is chipping away by small pieces. I have searched online for a replacement part but no luck. I have owned it for over 2 years. But I am very careful and do not abuse it. The salt mill is fine which makes me think that it was a defect in the plastic. I only hope that we haven't eaten ground up plastic!Date published: 2016-08-19Rated 3 out of 5 by Slider from Faulty product I liked this pepper mill at first; but, it went through batteries quickly with little use. It also has stopped working completely after about a year's light use by me and my husband. We don't even cook a lot. The design is somewhat difficult to work with for refilling and changing batteries. I will not be replacing this item with this same brand.Date published: 2016-06-16Rated 3 out of 5 by pepper70 from how do you refill the pepper mill? I CANNOT figure out how to get pepper corns in here. I love the machine otherwise..Date published: 2016-05-07Rated 5 out of 5 by RetiredChefOandWife from Happy pepper loving Dad We gave this set, S&P mills, to my father for Christmas 2014. He loves A LOT of pepper. And he loves this set. The gravity activation has to be demonstrated to newcomers, but is very easy to use & understand. Ranges from fine to coarse and is easily adjusted. The top dispensing unit keeps the table or counter clean also. Dad states he changes the batteries 2-3 times a year. Dad loves it, uses it, and brags about it. Great gift!!Date published: 2016-03-31
