For more than fifty years, people who love cooking and good food have gathered at Williams-Sonoma stores. Today there are more than 250 stores across the U.S. and Canada, each with its own schedule of special events and cooking classes.

Cooking Classes

  • Each month brings a new lineup of cooking classes to your local Williams-Sonoma store. Learn about cuisines from around the world – and close to home – from our talented chefs and culinary experts.

    • Each 1½ - to 2-hour class includes a cooking demonstration, generous samples of featured dishes and printed recipes to take home.
    • Class fees vary by store location.
    • Participants receive a 10% discount on store purchases the day of the class.
    • Available at select stores; class dates and times vary by store location.
    • Space is limited and reservations are required. Call a participating store to register.

Cookbook Club

  • Love collecting cookbooks? Enjoy trying new recipes? Join us for a monthly Cookbook Club class. Led by our talented culinary experts, these exclusive cooking classes showcase recipes from a different cookbook each month.

    • Each 1½ - to 2-hour class features cooking tips and techniques and a three-course tasting menu from the book's best recipes, prepared while you watch.
    • Class fee of $75 includes the cookbook with signed bookplate.
    • Participants receive a 10% discount on store purchases the day of the class.
    • Available monthly at select stores; class times vary by store location.

    In Martha Stewart's American Food, Martha celebrates America and its diversity of food with recipes that represent the very best of the country's flavors. Organized geographically, this book showcases Martha's recipes for regional specialties from drinks to desserts. Together, these recipes reflect the unique character of each part of the country while also celebrating the deliciousness (and comfort) of American food.

    June Cookbook Club

    BOOK: BEGINNINGS BY CHRIS COSENTINO

    The first cookbook from innovative and highly regarded chef Chris Cosentino, Beginnings presents more than 60 recipes for Italian-style first courses. You may recognize him from the first season of The Next Iron Chef on the Food Network. Chef Cosentino's recipes are simple and rustic, yet contemporary and inspiring and perfect for entertaining. In this class we will teach you how to make a meal out of starters and how to build the perfect cheese platter.

Complimentary Technique Classes

  • Begin the new year with Williams-Sonoma Technique Classes and be inspired! Learn fresh menu ideas, healthy recipes for family dinners, and both classic and new cooking techniques. Our complimentary Technique Classes are each dedicated to a specific culinary topic, such as cookware, tools or the best way to work with seasonal produce.

    • Hour-long technique classes are free and include tastings of prepared dishes.

    May 6

    Brunch is the ideal way to entertain whether it is a simple spring time get-together or celebrating Mother's Day. Learn how to create new recipes that will impress your guests, serve Brunch mocktails (coffee spritzers, frozen drinks) and healthy and delicious recipes using spring produce.

    A Tasting Table Memorial Day Menu

    We've partnered with Tasting Table, a popular food site and daily email publication, to provide you with a Memorial Day menu that will inspire. Tasting Table prides themselves on creating epicurean recommendations that are authentic, trustworthy and actionable, so a fabulous cookout is guaranteed!

    Vitamix!
    May 27

    The chefs' blender, the Vitamix is the one you see on TV. You've watched amazing transformations emerge from this powerful machine in minutes, from minced veggies and pureed hot soups to froths and frozen desserts. Join us and learn how to make the most of your Vitamix-and see the newest Vitamix model in action.     MASTER THE GRILL with Williams-Sonoma Technique Classes
    Whether you're a novice or a seasoned griller, Williams-Sonoma will provide all the tips, tools and inspiration you need for a summer filled with amazing grilled meals and dinners enjoyed outdoors.

    The Grill Master: Classics
    June 3

    As we fire up the grill, favorites like steaks, chicken breasts and burgers first come to mind. Take this class and master the classics. We'll discuss flavors and seasonings, including marinades and rubs, and show you how to create perfect grill marks on foods and sear in those wonderful juices.

    The Grill Master: Side Dishes
    June 10

    You're already cooking the main course on the grill, so why not cook some side dishes at the same time? We'll teach you how to prepare vegetables and starches for the grill, and how to use indirect heat to cook them to the desired tenderness. You'll learn to make grilled side dishes that are so scrumptious, everyone will be asking for more!

    The Grill Master: Fish & Seafood
    June 24

    Discover the secrets to cooking fish and seafood on the grill. We'll demonstrate how to prepare and season seafood and explain the proper way to grill it so it emerges perfectly done and delicious. You'll learn how to cook fish on a wooden grilling plank, a technique that infuses foods with enticing smoky flavor. Plus, we'll share some of our favorite seafood accompaniments.

Product & Cooking Demonstrations

  • Our stores offer frequent product and cooking demonstrations that show our latest tools in action. It's a great way to learn about the top-quality brands we carry and discover helpful tips for cooking and entertaining.

    • Ongoing drop-in demonstrations are free and do not require reservations.
    • Available at all stores; demonstration times vary by store location.

Sous Chef Series Recipe Demonstrations

  • We've partnered with Tasting Table, the free daily email for adventurous eaters, to bring you exclusive recipes from America's most talented sous chefs. When you subscribe, a new recipe will be emailed to you each month along with an invitation to see the dish demonstrated at your local Williams-Sonoma store.

    • Sous Chef demonstrations are held at all Williams-Sonoma stores on a select Saturday each month.
    • Demonstrations are free, but registration is required.
