For seafood lovers and pescatarian diets, there are many cooking tools geared to fish. Seafood crackers and picks are good for crab legs. Seafood scissors break a lobster shell easily, making it simple to remove a lobster tail with ease. An oyster knife allows you to shuck oysters without breaking one of your favorite knives. A stockpot is an ideal size for boiling shrimp and crab legs. It can make a big pot of fish stew or any kind of soup for a crowd.


If you want to give grilling a try, there are several grilling tools that will help. Barbecue grill sets include basters, long-handled spatulas, meat forks and tongs. Grilling is a healthy way of cooking since any grease drips down through the grates. It also makes for fun entertainment when guests gather around the grill. Any new cook benefits from a cast-iron skillet for many reasons. These pans are incredibly durable and often last as long as the cook does. A little iron is actually absorbed in the food, so you get some nutritional value from the skillet. Cast-iron is ideal for cooking vegetables on a grill. However, the cast-iron skillet can be used on top of the stove and in the oven as well. Just be sure to have pot holders or oven mitts on hand for gripping the handle.
