Often served before the meal as an aperitif, this classic cocktail is believed to have originated in Florence, Italy, in the early 1900s.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) gin
  • 1 oz. (30 ml) sweet vermouth
  • 1 oz. (30 ml) Campari
  • 1 orange twist

Directions:

In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the gin, vermouth and Campari. Stir until well chilled, about 30 seconds, then strain into a double old-fashioned glass with a single large cube of ice. Garnish with the orange twist and serve. Makes 1 drink.
