
Liz's Peppermint Affogato
This festive riff on a classic Italian dessert, courtesy of blogger and interior designer Liz Marie Galvan, is an ideal dish to serve at the end of a holiday lunch or tree-trimming party. Liz likes to top her affogato with Peppermint Bark Snow, but any small chocolate or candy pieces will work as a finishing touch.
Ingredients:
- 1 pint of vanilla or peppermint ice cream
- 1 shot of freshly brewed espresso, I use Nespresso
- Williams Sonoma Peppermint Bark Snow for serving
Directions:
Place a large scoop of ice cream into a cup or bowl. Pour 1 shot of espresso over the ice cream. Top with a handful of Williams Sonoma Peppermint Bark, or the topping of your choice, and serve. Makes 1 affogato.
