Designed by architect Matteo Thun, the special arched bolster promotes an ideal thumb grip for the ultimate precision, comfort and safety.
- 5 1/4" blade is precision forged using ’s Sigmaforge process, which incorporates the Friodur ice-hardening technique to produce corrosion-resistant blades that are exceptionally hard yet flexible.

- Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
- Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal or glass.
- It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.
- Hand-wash with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse and dry immediately.
- Maintain the knife's cutting edge by regularly using a honing steel.
- Sharpen as needed. With regular use and honing, your knife should not need sharpening more than once or twice a year.
- Sharpen knife at home using a whetstone or knife sharpener, or have it sharpened by a professional.
- Store knife in a safe place to protect its edge and prevent injury.

Next Day Delivery
For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.
Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food, items shipped direct from the vendor or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Final sale items ending in .97 or .99 cannot be returned.

Power of the internet and found a gazillion knifes to choose. Slicing, bone, paring, chef's knives of every size and shape and finally found this amazing prep knife. I knew as soon as this knife was in my hands this would be my favorite kitchen knife. The size matches the C-1, and no job will be to small or to large that this all around knife won't be able to handle. Have a Zwilling Henckel 12" pro sharpening steel to keep this Gem of a knife razor sharp and properly aligned.Date published: 2016-01-29Rated 5 out of 5 by AudreyTwo from Great knife for smaller prep tasks I've been using the larger 6" Zwilling chef knife for over 10 years now, and have been very happy with this brand for the quality and the stain-resistance. I bought this 5.25" knife because the price was good, and because sometimes I find the chef knife a little heavy and overkill for tasks like mincing garlic and chopping an onion. (I have been lazy at times and just used a paring knife, but it really doesn't work too well.) I've been using this 5.25" prep knife for about a month and very happy with it. It has become the knife that I use most often. But if I have a larger cutting task, like cutting a pineapple or a melon, I have to return to the 6" chef knife. So if I could only choose one knife to own, I'd have to pick the 6" chef knife because it can handle more tasks. I use it more than the utility knife with narrower blade. I'd give it 5 stars but would prefer just a tad wider heftier blade at large end.
