An old European wooden cutting board – cleverly designed with metal carrying handles – inspired us to create one exclusively for Williams Sonoma. We partnered with Zwilling J.A. Henckels to craft a board that's equally suited for prep work and serving. It's made in the USA of sustainably grown North American Birch with perimeter wells for catching the drippings from meat carving. Each board is hand sanded and finished with food-grade oil. Metal handles make it easy to transport from kitchen to table.

- Use & Care
- Board should be seasoned with a food-grade mineral oil before first use.
- To season the board properly, warm the mineral oil slightly and apply it in the direction of the wood grain using a clean, dry cloth. Allow the oil to soak in and repeat with another application. Allow the board to dry and wipe off any excess oil.
- Hand-wash with hot, soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
- Do not soak or submerge board in water.
- Occasionally rub with a food-safe mineral oil to keep wood from drying out.
- To sanitize, wash the board with a solution of one part vinegar to five parts water.
- Remove odors by rubbing the board with kosher or table salt and half a lemon. Let sit for 2 to 3 minutes then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Remove excess moisture with a clean paper towel and stand the board on end to air dry.
- Store in a dry area away from extreme temperatures.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ali25 from Terrible Cutting Board - DO NOT BUY This board looks like quality but like the other comment, it has wood fuzz sticking up all over the board even after lots of use. On top of all of that... This board has WARPED!!! for as much money as this board costs it should not warp! Now that it has warped, we can't even use it because it's so bent it would ruin my knives! It's unfortunately too late to return this. DO NOT BUY!Date published: 2019-07-15Rated 1 out of 5 by Delm from Wood fibers sticking up on board My old carving board (40 years old) finally gave out, and I ordered this one because of the handles. When I went to use it for the first time at Thanksgiving I noticed that one of the board planks were rough, and I could see the tiny wood fibers sticking up. Obviously, I could not use it. I brought it back to the store, and an employee examined it and saw what I was talking about.Date published: 2019-01-29
