Rated 5 out of 5 by MsReview from Finally - a nice looking knife block! I love this block - have been looking for something with more flexibility than your standard block with "pre-cut" knife slots that dictate size and placement and this is it. It's not 100% free space, there are two cross bars inside that block some of the space but there are still plenty of options for placement. I have Shun Premier knives and the handles are dark wood. I did not like that the Shun block is a light color bamboo; it doesn't match the knives or anything in my house. Love the dark wood of this knife block. Head's up, it will not fit under a cabinet. The block itself is tall so by the time you have the knife handles sticking out of the top it becomes quite tall. I don't know why Williams Sonoma has not corrected the photo. As mentioned by other reviewers for years the block is not wavy like the photo shows, it is completely squared off. No worries, it's beautiful. Highly recommend it!Date published: 2019-02-28Rated 5 out of 5 by Rocky 2 from A WORK OF ART I had a flat drawer knife storage rack, which I had to rethink after a knife handle got stuck and the drawer wouldn't open. It cost me a $70 to sort out. I decided I had to keep my knives on the counter top, but this was the only knife storage that I liked the look of. I had read a review from a customer who got this knife block, and it wasn't curvy like in the picture, I liked the curvy look, but alas, it wasn't to be, mine isn't curvy either, but it is very attractive on my lovely black shiny granite counter top, I'm glad I bought it.Date published: 2018-11-25Rated 5 out of 5 by DrLynn50 from Great Product This holds a ton of knives and keeps them free from nicks or from hurting anyone! Still love it!Date published: 2018-07-24Rated 5 out of 5 by litledancermimi from Fabulous Knife Block This is the most unique and efficient design I have ever seen for a Knife Block. It looks like a piece of art on my counter while it holds my great knives, and lots of them ! This is , by far, the most ingenious, clever and aesthetic design I have come across !Date published: 2013-10-22
