Rated 3 out of 5 by Rudolf from Minimal Mounting Hardware options Bought this a month ago and hadn't hung it until last night. Well, actually, bought it longer ago than that, except the first product we brought home had broken. The end of maple wood covering to the magnet broke. Williams Sonoma has great customer service and simply swapped it out. But I digress, The mounting hardware is three drywall anchors, three wood screws and three metal spacers with helpful instructions, evidently translated into English. Problem is that if I were to mount it directly to the wall the bar would not mount flush. The spacers are too long and the instructions tell you to seat the spacers into the wall anchors, which of course isn't possible. It's almost like the packaging includes the wrong parts (even though the instructions show the included parts and both units I opened included the same spacers). Perhaps there is a way to drill out the drywall to sink the spacers into the wall, but then there would be no use for the drywall anchors. Very bad design. My fix was easier to derive because we decided to mount it on a cabinet where I had access to the back. I used machine screws, washers and bolts. Sure, the mounting equipment cost me less than $3, but the hassle was much more expensive.Date published: 2018-03-27Rated 1 out of 5 by Hannah from Not flush-mounted This is actually an attractive product, but the spacers that come with it make it stand off of the wall. There are no photos or instructions that make this clear.
