Rated 1 out of 5 by Mermade from Great looking product, but........! So, I purchased this winged corkscrew because I hurt my hand recently and thought this type of corkscrew might relieve some of the pressure on my hand when opening wine. I have always used the "waiters" and think that's the best. Well, this is a waste of over $40! Really, what was WS thinking? I love all the products, but this one falls short. I have the same problem as the other reviewer. It frankly doesn't work. And, of course, since I've used it ... or attempted to use it, I can't take it back. Don't buy this product.Date published: 2018-01-01Rated 1 out of 5 by PalmCoast from Don't waste your money on this product It looks really sleek, but it is less worthy than a $9 grocery store winged corkscrew. The problem is the tip of the "screw." It is close to impossible to penetrate the cork without applying a trememdous amount of pressure. I double checked and there is no sheath or cover on the "screw" that may have been put there for shipping. By the time you get the "screw" working, the cork is starting to shred. Takes too much work to open a bottle of wine, so don't spend your $$$ on this.Date published: 2017-11-30
