Rated 4 out of 5 by Champagne Please from Sturdy build chops/ slices well Purchased a month ago. I love the sturdiness of the thing and hope it will last. However, I will certainly not award 5 stars because the knuckle heads made it with about a half inch dice cut. That's a bit big but ok. Why the devil did you NOT INCLUDE a smaller die, say 1/4 inch? Disappointing. Don't give up just add to it please.Date published: 2019-07-13Rated 1 out of 5 by Sarah from Broken in six months We got as a wedding gift and was pumped to use it for potatoes. Used maybe five times and it snapped on the hingesDate published: 2019-02-05Rated 1 out of 5 by WilliamsSonomaJunkie from Returning it as soon as possible! I bought this for one reason only - I wanted smaller dice for onions (like the old one that I used forever)! I already bought the larger vegetable chopper that has the larger dice, why did you take away the smaller dice on this model???Date published: 2018-02-04Rated 1 out of 5 by eva800 from No ! I have the good old Williams Sonoma chopper that is discontinued already and this piece of non sensenseness will go back to be returned.Date published: 2018-01-21Rated 3 out of 5 by Aci84 from Undecided I haven’t used this chopper, and I’m considering taking it back. I bought this and a different brand chopper that was about 1/2 the price. I was pretty sure I was going to love this one more, but I’m torn. While it does have some great features, it also has a couple of serious flaws. Pros: It looks awesome. The cutting area is big and there’s a very large food reservoir, so you don’t have to keep dumping it. It slices and dices, while most of the competitors only have the option to dice. Cons: There does seem to be a design flaw as others have mentioned. It’s way too easy to get off-kilter, and if it’s not perfectly straight it won’t work. The other thing I don’t like is that the dicing grid is too large. While I like the option to slice & dice, I would also like an option for different sizes of “dice” without buying a second chopper. I’ll update if I decide to keep it & use it, but that’s fairly unlikely.Date published: 2017-12-22Rated 1 out of 5 by cvbpa from I hate this & will try to return I am so unhappy with this product - I’ve never attempted to return a used item, but that’s exactly what I intend to do with this. It is difficult to push the handle down to chop something, forcing me to cut pieces relatively small and effectively rendering this pointless. Cleaning it is absurd - I spent much more time trying to (unsuccessfully) clean the pieces than I should or than I would any other kitchen tool; onion slivers seem to be permanently lodged in between the chopping pegs. Also, I am not sure what piece is breaking off, but I found multiple little gray pieces of plastic mixed in with my chopped onion - unacceptable. It is not even worth the sale price I paid for it, let alone the Williams Sonoma name or my cabinet space.Date published: 2017-12-03Rated 2 out of 5 by TB12 from Good while it lasted Bought this tool and it was great for a couple of months. Like other reviews the hinge breaks on the left side and you'll know it's time to get rid of it because it starts to deflect and slice into the plastic pusher. Pretty disappointed with WS on this tool. My expectation was that it would last a year.Date published: 2017-07-02Rated 5 out of 5 by Geeg66 from Best chopper ever I use this all the time, but last night used it to make hash brown potatoes for the first time. I sliced onions and white and sweet potatoes 1/3" thick, and this chopper diced them in a heartbeat. The pieces were uniformly cut, not smashed, so they cooked very evenly. This is an incredible time saver and cleanup was very easy.Date published: 2017-06-16
