Williams Sonoma Mini Vegetable Chopper
Rated 5 out of 5 by Geeg66 from Best chopper ever I use this all the time, but last night used it to make hash brown potatoes for the first time. I sliced onions and white and sweet potatoes 1/3" thick, and this chopper diced them in a heartbeat. The pieces were uniformly cut, not smashed, so they cooked very evenly. This is an incredible time saver and cleanup was very easy.Date published: 2017-06-16Rated 1 out of 5 by LTkitchen from Completely Useless I bought the Mini Vegetable Chopper, this whole family of products is a complete waste of money. The super sharp blades are not sharp at all. Food gets crushed instead of cut. Which makes me wonder, how they got the pictures on the display? They most likely chopped the onions with a knife and then staged for the picture. This product should be discontinued since there are much better options available at William Sonoma. This product is a disgrace for the William Sonoma brand name. Which, btw usually has pretty decent products. It should be discontinued since it is doing nothing but staining the brand name. William Sonoma contains good brand and high priced items, which are usually procured by people that like cooking and value paying extra for better quality. Having the WS clientele defined as people who like and know about cooking and are willing to pay extra for quality reinforces my point. This product does not match WS clientele expectations. It produces a rough cut and is extremely difficult to clean. Buy a knife and a cutting board to better results in less time!Date published: 2017-05-15Rated 5 out of 5 by JacquieSJ from Perfect Prep Chopper Bought this for my husband at Christmas and we have used it almost every day since! Great for chopping onions, potatoes, mushrooms, celery, carrots and so much more. The dicing blade gives even dices (though one thing that would improve the chopper would be a smaller dice blade for versatility). Slicing is just as easy, and provides for even slices when cooking. Would rec this item to anyone who likes to spend less time prepping and more time cooking. Well made and durable.Date published: 2017-04-26Rated 4 out of 5 by Marge66 from Veggie Chopper I have used this several times and like the way it chops, Only criticism is the "pushers" are very difficult to insert and remove. I would also recommend that the instruction booklet have pictures or diagrams of the product and how to use it.Date published: 2017-02-02Rated 2 out of 5 by IC66 from chop chop then break first time we used to slice vegies we were pleased even though it required several attempts for some items. We used 3 days later and on the second attempt to slice a cucumber it broke at the hinge on the left side. The hinge is made of plastic and is too thin to hold up. Very disappointing as we purchased it because we eat a lot of great salads with a large variety of vegetables added. While William Sonoma was great about sending a replacement I am afraid it will just break again due to a design flaw.Date published: 2017-01-29Rated 2 out of 5 by tj2433 from Not Good As Is I have a cheap plastic version of this kind of device and I thought this W-S would be a nice upgrade. While it is constructed better and looks like it will cut just fine, unfortunately it has a fatal flaw....it is VERY difficult to get the bottom off so you can dump your cut vegetables out. In the end I had to remove the bottom cutting blades so I could reach inside to get a grip on the device to pull the top and bottom apart. That's certainly not how I would do it if it is full of food. Disappointing, so it is being returned.Date published: 2016-12-02
