Rated 5 out of 5 by Luvs2bake1961 from Love these cutters! I bought this set and made them the first time last year. Everyone raved about them and it is now a staple on my Christmas Cookie list. Make sure your dough is rolled out thicker than usual for cut out cookies and use a shortbread recipe, not a sugar cookie recipe. I put raspberry jam in the center before baking and they came out wonderfully!!Date published: 2019-12-02Rated 5 out of 5 by Brown Fencing mom from Excellent cutters! These are awesome! I used Lila Loa's Vanilla Variation 2.0 and rolled 3/8 inch. No spreading. Puffed up just a tiny bit. I filled with raspberry jam and topped with a fondant Brown University medallion for my daughter's fencing team. The easiest cookie I've ever made!Date published: 2019-12-01Rated 5 out of 5 by DD the Baker from Beautiful results! After reading earlier reviews, I decided to go with the suggestion of using Ina Garten's shortbread cookie recipe, and simply inserting 1-1/2" balls of dough into the mold (not bothering to roll out dough). That worked perfectly with the refrigerated dough. From time to time, dough would stick in the crevices and mar the cookie design, so I started brushing the mold with a pastry brush after each unmolding, and that solved the issue. Takes time, but worth it for beautiful results.Date published: 2019-11-25Rated 5 out of 5 by auntsis from Really works They work great. I read previous reviews and decided to go with the 4 ingredient shortbread recipe which works well. One reviewer said she pinched off dough pieces and pressed this into the stamp. This didn’t work well for me. I rolled a thick dough and then cut and pressed my cookies. I made sure to chill my dough and chill the cookies before baking. The cookies have retained their shape and designDate published: 2019-11-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Carol1ne from Love the cookie cutters! Bought this a few weeks ago & had a chance to try it yesterday. It turned out great!Date published: 2019-10-20Rated 3 out of 5 by Dan cooking cookies from Looks great until cooked? Used this with a rolled sugar cookie cutter recipe. 1/4 was too thin and the center cut thru. Increased to about a 1/3 inch and looked good but when cooked the center indention disappeared. You need to include a recipe with the cutter for a short bread cookie dough that will actually work with your cutters.Date published: 2019-10-06Rated 4 out of 5 by debvan from Love the design I bought these to make cookies for a future wedding and wanted to try a few recipes. My first batch was a butter cookie rolled out to the recommended 1/4" thickness. It was too thin as I ended up with holes in the center. I increased to 3/8" and they were perfect. The butter cookies were a little puffy and lost some of the design. Next I will try the shortbread recipe shown in the other reviews. These will make great Christmas and Valentines Day cookies.Date published: 2019-07-21Rated 4 out of 5 by Adele from i think im going to LOVE these I bake and sell cookies. mostly at Christmas - but I thought these were fancy and bought them. I found a recipe that someone posted using these - so I went home and tried it. Picture is prior to baking. I filled them with seedless raspberry & with orange marmalade.Date published: 2019-06-03
TO Melinda who reviewed the cutters along with the beautiful thick cookies. How long do you bake those and at what temp? Those are exactly what I am looking to create. Not Melinda but I can answer. If you use a simple shortbread recipe. 25 min or until edges start to get rosy. Standard baking temp of 350. Be sure to chill your cookies before baking and make sure that oven is hot. The shock will crust the outside and better retain the shape we so love w these stamps. Hope this helps. Happy baking. -pro pastry wizard a.k.a. AnnaDate published: 2019-08-12
I bought your stamp cookies and though you would include a tried and true recipe. I have no idea what recipe to use. A shortbread or a thumbprint recipe? Should I use a recipe that is rolled with a rolling pin? I have no idea.Hi Robbyn, These can be used with any recipe of choice. We’ve used them for sugar and gingerbread cookies. The dough will need to be rolled out to ¼ inch thickness. Chill for 30 minutes, then bake.Date published: 2019-11-28
How do you clean these cookie stamps? I bought similar Christmas cookie cutters, and could easily take them apart. These ones I couldn't. I tried, but didn't want to break them. Is there a way to take them apart? Thanks!Hi Evica, No, these cookie stamps do not come apart. They are top rack dishwasher-safe but handwashing is recommended.Date published: 2019-02-06
