Rated 1 out of 5 by dallaslady410 from Ruined on First Use We bought this with all the other silicone tools in the set. It was originally a gorgeous turner, alas, after the very first use, the tip of the turner part melted and absorbed some brown from the pan (seared a beef roast). We hit it with some sandpaper to smooth it out, but it is definitely ugly. It's been sent to the back of the crock for poor behavior, probably only to ever be used for cooled cookies in the future. It makes literally no sense for this thing to have nylon at the end. It should be covered in silicone all over. This product needs a redesign, badly.Date published: 2018-12-28Rated 1 out of 5 by NatasjaA from discolore I would never purchase this product again - after the second or third use the edge was discolored despite it being rinsed after each use and than put in the dishwasher - It looks terrible!Date published: 2018-12-11Rated 1 out of 5 by SC86 from Why don't you offer all colors? I have a few other silicone WS pieces in the cool grey color, which I love. I don't understand why they don't offer all of the silicone cooking tools in all of their colors. I will not purchase these types of tools in white because I know they will stain (as others have stated). I think if you made more of the silicone pieces in darker colors, more folks would want to purchase them. I like to purchase these as sets and unfortunately I can't because the cool grey options are so limited.Date published: 2017-12-17Rated 1 out of 5 by mseag from Awful - nylon melts - stay away from this product I've had previous Williams Sonoma silicone products, but this one is terrible and unusable due to the nylon plastic that they now include. How they could make this change to a previously perfect product, is beyond me. The tips of these have melted ever so slightly, that I don't feel comfortable using them with my family. I've now replaced all my Williams Sonoma cooking tools with those made from another high end store, who uses 100% silicone.Date published: 2017-06-06Rated 1 out of 5 by Isme from Scratches nonstick cookware! We ordered this item to use with our brand new Ironclad nonstick pan. We used this turner exclusively with the pan for several days and noticed scratching appearing on the bottom of the pan. We order from WS all the time and are very disappointed. It is also misleading in the product description which says that this item is safe for use with a nonstick pan. Do not recommend.Date published: 2017-01-29Rated 2 out of 5 by CECO from Disappointed in new model We have an older model of this spatula that always seems to be in the dishwasher when we need it so we decided to buy an additional one. The older one is made completely of silicone and does not have the nylon backing that this newer one has. Our issue with this one is that the nylon does not have a high enough heat resistance. When the 'tough' nylon is used to scrape the bottom of a hot pan it melts causing the nylon to start to peel off. My silicon spatula does not have this issue. This spatula cannot serve the purpose we purchased it for.Date published: 2017-01-23Rated 1 out of 5 by NewKitchenCook from Discoloration after one use Very disappointed. My husband used this spatula to make hash browns once and no matter what I do, I can't seem to remove the yellow/brown stains from the tip of it. I exchanged it for a new one but now I'm scared to use my entire set so they all just sit on my counter in the pretty holder. I guess they're just made for decoration.Date published: 2016-07-02Rated 5 out of 5 by BEddie from Turner Time Have used this turner numerous times with my stainless pans. It performs as it should, matches my other silicone tools, and is very kind to my pans.Date published: 2016-05-23
