Rated 5 out of 5 by Teela from I resisted purchasing but shouldn't have! This scoop is great. I liken it to using the bumpers while bowling...like bumpers help you keep on track to score, what are basically sides to a spatula help you keep your food from falling off the sides. I've had this a few weeks and have already used it many, many times for my veggies. I also make my own granola and foresee this as a great tool to help more efficiently mix my batches while baking. The handle is sturdy and this is worth the price. Definitely recommend picking up this roasting scoop.Date published: 2016-11-03Rated 5 out of 5 by ScottishTerrierLover from Works Quite Well Scooped an entire rump roast out of the slow cooker with this spatula. It may not be one that gets used that often but when I need to scoop out large amounts, it's a work horse. Very happy I own it!Date published: 2015-03-15Rated 5 out of 5 by schuhshine from Great, Large Non-stick Scoop I originally bought this to use for scooping roasted vegetables from a large pan, but it's handy for much more. Great for scooping French fries or small roasted potatoes from a pan to a serving dish. I also like to make homemade croutons - no more spillage. Attractive brushed chrome, easy-to-grip handle, large non-stick scoop, sturdy, dishwasher-safe; expect this to last a lifetime.Date published: 2015-03-03Rated 5 out of 5 by NanCooks from Really works If you roast small pieces of veggies that are just boring to turn one by one, get damaged or missed if you turn a few at a time, fall off the side of long spatula, or are difficult to lift without ruining on turning with a thicker-ended spatula, this baby solves it all. It's thin enough at the front to get under, it has raised sides. Call me crazy but it makes browning and turning those little suckers fun.. like shoveling sand castles at the beach as a kid. i mean: look at it.Date published: 2015-02-24Rated 5 out of 5 by resgoddess from How to handle Tater Tots The ultimate way to get Tater Tots out of the oven - no more escapees rolling off the spatula! Also great for shrimp, and moving smaller veggies around on the grill. Comfortable handle design, easy to use and clean-up. A bit awkward to store because of its' generous size, but worth the inconvenience.Date published: 2015-01-11Rated 5 out of 5 by KayLeo from Not a "must-have" item, but it is nice to have I wouldn't consider the Williams-Sonoma Roasting Scoop to be something that every home cook needs in their kitchen, but it is definitely something that is nice to have. It saves time when scooping roasted veggies and what-not from the roasting pan and onto a serving dish. It is much easier to use this tool instead of a regular spatula or something because the wider surface can carry more food per scoop and it has side walls to prevent the food from falling down the edge.Date published: 2014-10-31
