Rated 4 out of 5 by MrsLJ from Needs tweaking but can be good I bought this before reading the reviews about the recipe change. I fixed the chicken recipe on the side of the jar (cooked in a slow cooker). I added a good amount of salt and pepper, as well as thyme and a cup of water, to the sauce. Also added in a roughly chopped onion and sliced up a couple of cloves of garlic which I think helped. When the chicken was done I took it out, poured the sauce into a pan and reduced it by about half to pump up the flavor. Served with egg noodles. Delicious!Date published: 2017-11-30Rated 2 out of 5 by CATF from Disappointed Not the same as last year. I think they changed recipe or vendor. Very disappointing.Date published: 2017-10-31Rated 2 out of 5 by SAMIL from Not like last year! WS must have changed/cheapened the recipe, as it has many others. Nowhere near as good as last year. Edible, but not enjoyable. Last year this was my favorite. Try it before you stock up.Date published: 2017-09-16Rated 5 out of 5 by bustyk from This sauce is absolutely delicious The pumpkin flavor is subtle and not overpowering. I prepared it with chicken thighs adding carrots, garlic, onions and shitake mushrooms. I also paired with the WS Oven Baked Pumpkin Risotto. I will echo the previous commenter. WS, please bring this sauce back.Date published: 2016-11-10Rated 5 out of 5 by DCGELL from Excellent! My 2 year old grandson loves this sauce! Please bring this sauce back!!Date published: 2016-11-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Quickcooker from Really great sauce Just a hint of pumpkin flavor. The smell is wonderful while cooking. I used a dutch oven 350 for one hour.Date published: 2015-10-18Rated 5 out of 5 by Bevo4 from YUMMY! YOU WILL LOVE IT! I used this sauce for braising a cut up chicken as the recipe instructs on the jar and it was absolutely delicious. The pumpkin flavor was not overpowering and if I didn't know it was a Pumpkin Braising sauce I may not have been able to tell there was pumpkin in the sauce. It was a complex wonderful taste, which I served over rice and my husband and I loved it.Date published: 2014-11-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Maddog65 from Will become a kitchen staple I used this sauce in the Pumpkin-Braised Pork with Greens slowcooker recipe featured on the Williams-Sonoma website and it was delicious! The flavor was complex and my whole family loved it. I will be stocking up on this sauce at the sale price.Date published: 2013-10-24
