Rated 3 out of 5 by cookie from Nice for Pasta I bought these and matching dinner plates a few months ago. I just used one last for pasta last night, and today after washing and drying it, I found what appeared to be markings on the rim. I assumed it was from cheese, so I washed it again, but it remained. The 3rd time I used the sponge with the side that has the scrubber, and realize it's permanently on the soup plate. I have to admit that I never looked at any of the soup or dinner plates, assuming they were fine. 2 of the soup plates have marks, and some of the dinner plates have blemishes. Yes, they were all inexpensive, however, had there been a statement about possible blemishes etc., even at this low price, I would not have purchased them. Luckily I only started with 4 of each. I won't use these for guests. Just think truth in advertising is best.Date published: 2017-12-06Rated 5 out of 5 by jpp30 from Great Plates These soup plates are great! The size is just right for soup, salad, oatmeal, a variety of things. I have 6 dinner sets of Basseria and love them, they are made extremely well; they don't scratch and have a high glaze on them; love the look of the white dishes.Date published: 2017-04-23Rated 5 out of 5 by LMH8 from Love the Rimmed Soup Plates These bowls are not too small & not too large. They fit well in the hand too. They are great for soup, a meal or just a simple hot dog! I imagine they are great for floating flowers too! The color goes with everything; a slight off-white.Date published: 2016-07-29Rated 4 out of 5 by lgmalways from Pretty Good Soup Plate This soup plate was exactly the size I wanted. I am watching my portion sizes for meals and this soup plate holds 8-10 ounces - which is perfect. I ordered 12 and only one of them had a tiny black spot that another reviewer noted. It is a light weight soup plate that can also be used for salads. It is not quite as white as I had hoped. Wanted to mix with other white porcelain dishes, but it works well enough - otherwise I would have rated at 5 stars.Date published: 2016-02-15Rated 5 out of 5 by ChicagoWSfan from simple, perfect, value i like that these plates are porcelain not stoneware. -- they are light in weight and a good size for a variety of food -- soup, pasta, salad, etc. for the price they are worth stocking up on.Date published: 2015-12-11Rated 5 out of 5 by WiseShopperGirl from Williams-Sonoma Open Kitchen Soup Plates I love these soup plates. Love Williams Sonoma!Date published: 2015-03-18Rated 5 out of 5 by BCooper from Classy looking This is my first 'Open Kitchen' purchase The quality lives up to WS standards! Very reasonable price too!Date published: 2015-02-18Rated 4 out of 5 by KayLeo from The economical choice. At first glance, these bowls seem quite lovely! Once you pick it up, feel it, and inspect it a little more closely, you really start to notice little flaws. Glaze is uneven in a few places and there are little speckles in the porcelain. I love using these bowls for pasta as well as soup! This is my favorite piece to this set just because I've never had bowls like this before. These do not have Apilco or Pillivuyt quality, but they are a fraction of the cost. The Williams-Sonoma Open Kitchen Dinner Soup Plates are perfect for starter homes, dorm living, that kind of thing.Date published: 2014-06-11
