Rated 5 out of 5 by A cookie baker from Love this teapot I bought 2 of these teapots years ago. One was to be a backup in case of breakage . . . it is still unused in its original box and I am still using and loving the other one. Broken top? For hundreds of years people have figured out to put their finger on the knob to keep the top from falling off . . . yes, you have to use a second hand. It is fragile glass and elegant. If you don't want to be a little dainty get a metal teapot or pottery that the top has a molded area to catch the top from falling off. Please don't blame this beautiful teapot.Date published: 2019-08-16Rated 3 out of 5 by janski from Loved this teapot I really loved this teapot, however the cap fell off and broke into pieces. Wanted to find a replacement cap, but no luck....Date published: 2019-04-02Rated 1 out of 5 by Domino from Pretty-but Received tea pot as a gift. On second use the top cracked. Must use two hands; one to hold the lid and one to pour. Be sure to take the stainer out before you pour. My neice didn't and well the top fell off and broke to bits. Feeling horrible, she emailed W.S. to seek a replacement top. No luck, no top available. I expect better from William Sonoma.Date published: 2019-01-21Rated 2 out of 5 by Anne from Beautiful pot but super fragile I loved the design of this tea pot, however the glass is so thin and fragile. It broke so easily by its own tea strainer bumping into it. I owned it for about 2 months. The appearance is beautiful and it poured great, but it would be nice if the glass was at least double it's current thickness.Date published: 2019-01-20Rated 3 out of 5 by jotte from Beautiful but breaks easily I love the look of this teapot, but it just broke while my husband was pouring tea. The top fell off, hit the spout, and broke it :( Tempted to buy another because it is so cute but not sure if it’s worth it given it only lasted about a month.Date published: 2018-12-29Rated 4 out of 5 by Eldon from I love this teapot! Very fragile though. I've broken two of these teapots so far and I'm on here considering buying another one because I like it so much. It pours so nicely. No drip and is very nice to have. I am a careful person but have still broken two.. so far :)Date published: 2018-09-17Rated 1 out of 5 by DCCat from Beautiful but too fragile. Disappointed. We used this teapot a grand total of twice. It was lovely to see the tea brewing in this beautiful glass pot. When retrieving it from the cabinet to use it a third time, we ever so slightly tapped the spout and it broke right off. We knew that we'd need to be extra careful with this one and we were, but it was far too fragile to be used at all. Very disappointed.Date published: 2017-01-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Sprytes from Sturdy and Classic This is a great everyday teapot. Appearance: Simple, Clean, Classic. Quality: Sturdy, Great for everyday use. Balance of weight when filled and flow from spout are excellent. I have had mine for about over a year now - dropped the top onto hardwood floors many times and it has yet to break or crack. I highly recommend.Date published: 2016-10-18
