The gently tapered handle feels comfortable in the hand for a range of tasks, and the olivewood remains smooth even with repeated use and washing. These spoons are beautiful enough to use at the table for serving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by teriS204 from Beautiful Design! These utensils are beautiful as well as functional. They are a good size, hefty, and feel very well made. My one single complaint, and it is a very small one, is that I found the edges to not be smooth on at least 2 of them, but luckily my husband is handy and took care of that quickly. These will definitely be well used!Date published: 2018-03-09Rated 5 out of 5 by CharlieTheChef from Great and stylish I love cooking with these and they look great on my counter. Very niceDate published: 2018-01-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Justin from Beautiful Olivewood kitchen utensils The Williams-Sonoma Olivewood Spoon set is a beautiful collection of useful kitchen utensils. Artisan quality craftsmanship imparts a richness to the olivewood’s unique grain. The warm caramel hues of the wood are highlighted. Wooden kitchen utensils are highly durable when cared for properly. I recommend first applying a coat of Boo’s Block Mystery Oil (food-safe oil) to all utensils prior to use, leaving on overnight and then wipe away excess oil. For additional protection, follow this with an additional coat of Boo’s Block Board Cream (further seals wood in conjunction with the oil), leave on overnight and wipe away any excess in the morning. This may seem tidious, but you will be rewarded with beautiful, resilient and highly durable utensils. Never use the dishwasher to clean wood utensils. Always was with warm and soapy water, drying with a cloth afterwards. Never soak utensils in water. Once a month or so (dependent upon frequency of use), the wooden utensils will require re-conditioning with additional coats of oil and cream as described above. Following these steps will provide a long life to these indispensable Italian Olivewood kitchen cooking utensils.Date published: 2018-01-17Rated 5 out of 5 by ChefDeJour from Handwash Only First, wooden spoons should be hand washed only. Pretty easy to hand wash and dry quickly. Sturdy wood, looks prettier in person too. Not disappointed at all, these should last a long long time. A few pennies less purchased individually too.Date published: 2016-01-30
Re: Olivewood spoons How often must they be conditioned with food safe oil?Hi Jane, With normal use, your olivewood utensils should be oiled at least once a month. We recommend using a food-safe mineral oil.Date published: 2019-06-23
