Rated 1 out of 5 by Leeney from Very disappointed in the quality I agree with other reviewers that the quality of the classic logo towels (and the striped towels) has declined over the years. After a few washes they were looking horribly misshapen, crinkly and did not line up when folded. I bought a few sets of these same towels almost six years ago and those held up extremely well in comparison. They are even, lie flat and just feel more substantial. I am tempted to toss my new ones (six months old) and go back to the old towels. That should not happen.Date published: 2019-01-08Rated 2 out of 5 by BDLAUS from What happened to quality I used to love your kitchen towels, I began buying them 30 years ago, when I really could not afford them but knew that Williams and Sonoma stood for quality. Please bring back quality merchandise. I change my dish towels and small towels daily, thus have a large supplyDate published: 2016-12-25Rated 2 out of 5 by Nikinik from Disappointing I have the perspective of inheriting several of these in a timeline. I have 2 different manufacturers prior to this one. These are my least favorite, made in turkey. One started unraveling before the first wash. They are still probably too new to give a true perspective but I'm just not satisfied with the quality for a W/S product. The Chinese made towels had. Waffle pattern, better I think but not great. My favorite of all are the ones made in France. WOW! I wish we could get that kind of quality again. They have a woven pattern with a blue stripe down each side. It must be 20 years old and still a perfect rectangle, with bright colors.. The onesI just bought I will give away. I've ordered the woven ones made in turkey without the W/S written on it.Date published: 2016-09-08Rated 2 out of 5 by AZSunshine from Quality Decline I have purchased Williams-Sonoma towels for several years now, but the logo towels have declined in quality. I have changed my color in the kitchen to red accents, so I ordered the red logo towels. The towels are not cut straight at all. They are not square. I am keeping them only for their color. Luckily, I bought the striped ones also, but they are square. I am using the logo towels only for decoration. Very disappointing!!!Date published: 2016-09-07Rated 1 out of 5 by Dougregularguy from Not like they used to be I've owned the previous towel line for over 7 years, and they are just now starting to wear out. They are heavy cotton and perform beautifully. This new line which "looks" like the old ones are flimsy and lost their shape the first time I washed them. I am honestly amazed that WS would put their name on this product. Please bring back your old contrast stripe dish towels and logo towels that were built to last. I'd gladly pay more for quality.Date published: 2016-04-26Rated 5 out of 5 by LauraJean1005 from Been Buying These For Years...... and they are wonderful. Worth every penny and I love the periwinkle color!Date published: 2016-03-12Rated 1 out of 5 by Amymrn from Poor Quality These towels are not what they used to be. Thinner, cut crooked and not all the same size. They wash up poorly and shrink too. I returned them to the store. PLEASE BRING BACK THE QUALITY TOWELS WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE!Date published: 2016-02-05Rated 5 out of 5 by ChristinaF from Great Towels and will last for years I love these towels. I had a few from a few years back and i decided to get new ones because mine were starting to look tired after 4-5 years. It has been my experience with these as well as other nicer linens that they will wrinkle when you first wash them. The more you use them, and after you wash them a few times, the fibers relax. I have had my new ones for about 2 months and they are just starting to relax. The fibers naturally seize up and will shrink a bit. When i wash them , i shake them out a bit before putting them in the dryer. If you are super neurotic and need them to lay flat right away IRON them. These are great towels and i would recommend them to anyone.Date published: 2016-01-28
