Rated 3 out of 5 by Diane from Need to have replacement Parts I love the Press but I accidentally dropped the nut . I need only this piece and don’t want to buy another one.Date published: 2018-11-11Rated 2 out of 5 by Ethan from Form over function Looks nice but the spout is very poorly designed. This results in it being very difficult to use without spilling everywhere.Date published: 2018-10-09Rated 2 out of 5 by SarM from Poor design I'm disappointed in this product. It works, but there are some design flaws that I really dislike. The top fits poorly in the glass, and spilling is common when I pour my cup of coffee. On the filter end, there's a little screw that is typically attached to the bottom metal filter on any other french press I've owned. On this one, however, it's a free piece less than 1/2 in big. Be careful when washing this, because mine has found its way into the garbage disposal multiple times.Date published: 2018-06-22Rated 3 out of 5 by jclark from Just ok I purchased my first french press just before the holidays. Over the past 2 months, I feel that the filter has become flimsy and I get more and more grounds in my coffee. As I press down slowly, the grounds seem to find an escape route on the side. I don't feel that the filter fits tightly enough to keep this from happening. It looks pretty, but not as functional as I would like.Date published: 2018-03-07Rated 4 out of 5 by Luxe from Sleek Press! My husband and I purchased this press over 2 years ago. It was our first French press, and we honestly purchased it for looks alone. In two years, this press has been used, disassembled and washed almost every day. I've accidentally dropped flatware and cups on it, and I have also had 3 cross country moves with minimal packing (this was in my first night boxes) and I have not even had a chip on the glass. Every Sunday my husband and I use smaller cups, so it takes us about 30 min to empty the press. Our coffee is always warm. I am leaving a star off because it is a little difficult to pour. I have to pour slow or I will spill it. I also wish I could purchase replacement parts such as the mesh strainer or the nut that holds the straining assembly together. We would both buy this press again!Date published: 2018-01-28Rated 4 out of 5 by ItalianCoffeeLover from Overall lovely press, but poor pour My favourite french press is my stainless steel Espro. And this press doesn't change that fact. But I got it for all the reasons I sometimes find it a pain to use my Espro. Namely, I can't see how much coffee is left and the dual basket system, while great for keeping out grounds and stopping extraction, can be a pain to clean. A more typical french press can account for these issues as well, so the main reason I got this was for the double-walled feature and aesthetics. Coffee does stay warm longer, although not as long as a thermos or my Espro (but that's to be expected). I once poured a mug of coffee at a still palatable temperature after 1 hour, but it wasn't hot. Without your typical metal or plastic casing to hold the glass, I find it looks much more impressive siting on the table when company is around, compared to your typical french press. And the glass is thick enough where I don't feel I have to treat it with kid gloves, but I'm still very mindful of the handle. The main downside is the pour is not clean at all. It's more like pouring water out of glass instead of a spout. Hence taking off one star. But overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase.Date published: 2017-09-07Rated 3 out of 5 by melaniep from Pretty Press, Horrible Assembly I love the way this press looks and it works perfectly fine, but cleaning it has become a battle. There is a tiny pin to separate the filters from the press which I'm scared to lose. Worse than that, it's nearly impossible to put the pin back in and get the filters tight! There are also zero markings of any kind to use as a reference point for water.Date published: 2017-09-03
