We collaborated with European coffee masters to create a line of recyclable coffee capsules for your Nespresso machine, made from the finest coffee beans. A medium-roasted espresso, our Decaf Intenso is custom blended using premium arabica coffee beans from Central America and South America. The result is an expertly balanced decaf espresso with a subtle, woodsy aroma and rich flavor with soft, delicate notes of ripe fruit.

  • Set of 10 capsules.
  • Suitable for Nespresso Original line drop-through capsule machines, excluding VertuoLine, U, Prodigio, Expert, professional machines, built-in models and KitchenAid models.
  • Each capsule makes one cup of espresso.
  • Capsules are BPA free and 100% recyclable aluminum for optimum freshness (see Use & Care tab for recycling details).
  • Our decaffeinated coffee is created using the chemical-free liquid CO2 method, which retains all the flavors and aromas of the coffee beans: Green coffee beans are rinsed under high pressure with liquid CO2 on ambient temperature to release the caffeine, then the CO2 is boiled away, removing the caffeine.

Use & Care

To recycle coffee capsules:

  • Remove aluminum covering from capsule.
  • Compost or discard used coffee grounds.
  • Rinse capsules and place in recycling bin. 
  • Arabica coffee.

Next Day Delivery

For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.

Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

Return Policy

At Williams Sonoma, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Attention to design, materials, safety and construction are our priority. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any damage; we will arrange for a prompt replacement.

If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

For all cutlery returns (knife sets, single knives, cutting boards, knife sharpeners and knife storage), please contact us at 888.922.4108 to initiate the return.

We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food, items shipped direct from the vendor or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Final sale items ending in .97 or .99 cannot be returned.

Made to Order and Final Sale Furniture items are non-returnable and cannot be cancelled once the order is placed.

  • Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work in Nespresso Latissima Pro I wish I had read the reviews before I bought these. I happened to be in a Williams Sonoma store and saw that they had coffee capsules. The store clerk assured me that they would work with Nespresso machines. When I got home I tried them in my Latissima Pro and, alas, the coffee slows down to a drip when the espresso cup is only half full. The machine sounds like it’s straining to push water through the capsule. I won’t try any more for fear of damaging my machine.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from My big question: Why? I'm down to just a couple of original decaf capsules and thought I'd try the new WS line. The woman at the store mentioned recycling them and explained that I cannot add these capsules to my bag of recycling for Nespresso. They will be coming out with a tool to separate the coffee grounds from the capsule for curbside recycling, but they can't be returned to Nespresso for recycling (not surprising). Problem #1: I have to rescue the WS capsules from the other Nespresso capsules before I put them in my recycling bag to send to Nespresso. I actually have a tool to separate the capsule from the grounds and it's fine but a nuisance. I haven't used it in years since I discovered the free recycling program. Problem #2: It didn't work well with my Lattissima Pro. After my cappuccino was complete the volume seemed lower than usual so I hit the ristretto button again to get more coffee extracted and the coffee that came out was very dark -- like I'd missed a lot of the good stuff. Only a small amount came out, however, and then it just dripped even though the pressure was still going. This capsule couldn't be used for an Americano, that's for sure, and I doubt I got a full shot out of it. Problem #3: pretty boring flavor. The 2 darkest Nespresso decafs have much more flavor. I also bought a tube of the Cremoso and it was fine, although nothing special. So I'm left with wondering why? Why would I buy WS coffee when it is no cheaper, the flavor's not so great, and I have to manually manage them for recycling?

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not compatible- save your money and machine I bought a sleeve of the vanilla from my local Williams Sonoma store to give it a try and I’ve gone through 5 capsules already with the same exact result every time. I believe the capsule is not compatible with the Nespresso machines the capsule gets stuck and when I try brewing only water comes out so I have to stop and eject the capsule a few times. And when it does start to work water is the first thing that brews out of the capsule first, and then after a few seconds the coffee starts brewing. I was reading the packaging and noticed some of the Nespresso machines are not compatible with the new Williams Sanoma capsules but my model the Citiz is not listed so it should be working. The coffee when it does brew looks good with a nice crema on top- but the vanilla tastes artificial. I almost don’t want to finish using the capsules In case it is damaging to my machine since there is some incompatibility there. And also these are more expensive than the original Nespresso brand capsules in their permanent line. I would recommend you to just save your money and machine and buy the Nespresso brand capsules instead of these faulty ones.

    Rated 2 out of 5 by from My Pixie struggles we recently purchased two sleeves of decaf for our Pixie Nespresso. Sadly, the machine really sputters and struggles to produce a cup of coffee. I gave it two stars because the coffee tastes good, but I think there is some incompatibility here.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Flavor Finally a decaf capsule that is smooth and flavorful! Love the Williams Sonoma Decaf Intenso and the pod works flawlessly in my Nespresso Pixie Machine. Also like the fact that the aluminum capsules are fully recyclable. Williams Sonoma has hit a home run on the coffee capsules (my caffeinated significant other is loving all the other capsule offerings). One request: Please come up with a couple more intensity options for your decaffeinated customers. There are very few decaf selections in the coffee capsule space. Great new product!! Thank you W&S

  • I have a  Nespresso Vertuoline, that I brought from Williams Sonoma can these capsules be used for the Vertuoline?

    Is this 100% decaffeinated? Is it de caffeinated using the Swiss water method or with chemically?

    Hi Cmac, Thank you for this question. We don’t use chemicals to decaffeinate our coffees. Our decaffeinated coffee is created using the liquid CO2 method: The green coffee beans are rinsed under high pressure with liquid CO2 on ambient temperature, to release the caffeine. Finally, the CO2 is boiled away and the pure caffeine is left behind. The CO2 method is a very gentle method that retains all the flavors and aromas of the coffee beans.

    Is this compatible with the Nespresso Latissima Pro? The fine print says they are not compatible with “professional machines.” I bought  two sleeves of these based on your store clerk’s assurance that they could be used in Nespresso machines.
