Rated 5 out of 5 by koromoto from Love it! Received mine as a wedding present and have no complaints. I've baked bread in it (the only way I've managed to get it to come out right), cooked down bolognese sauce for 4 hours, made so many stews in it. I absolutely love it. It is heavy, but it's holding up great so far!Date published: 2019-01-16
How do you season the Williams Sonoma enameled cast iron? What temperature and how long?Hi Sunshine, Enamel-coated cast-iron pans do not need seasoning, as the enamel coating prevents rust in most instances.Date published: 2019-11-04
Just wanted to know if this would work well to roast chicken, and does staub have a roasting rack that will this? Hi Phiphi, This dutch oven wouldn't be ideal to use for roasting due to its height (6" with lid on). When a pan's height is too tall, it will prevent an oven’s hot, dry air from reaching the bottom of the bird or roast. An ideal height would be 3" tall. This oval Dutch oven has a wide base to make extra room for browning and braising larger cuts of meat. Use it for slow-cooking meats, poultry and vegetables or for simmering soups, stews and chili.Date published: 2019-09-03
Just curious at how Staub cookware compares with Le Creuset. I love my Le Creuset pot, but Staub is a little less expensive.Hello Char Char, For what it's worth I have purchased Le Creuset, Staub, Williams Sonoma/Staub, Chasseur, La Cuisine, Lodge, Range Kleen...Staub is the best. I love my WS Staub 6.75 qt oval, the Staub spiked lid design performs superior to other brands, and overall quality is top notch. I do a lot of sourdough baking and low and slow soups/stews...If you get it on sale all the the better. Regards...Date published: 2019-02-14
