Our long-simmered sauce adds luxurious character to classic homemade short ribs—great for hearty meals with family and friends. For authentic French flavor, we've combined rich, earthy black truffles with red Burgundy wine, sweet caramelized onions, savory garlic and aromatic herbs. Prep is simple—just brown the beef, then heat with our premium sauce. Serve your tender, flavorful short ribs with mashed potatoes or buttered noodles.

For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.
Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

Black Truffle Short Ribs
Season 4 lb. (2 kg) bone-in short ribs with salt and pepper. In a large fry pan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, warm 2 Tbs. oil until almost smoking. In batches, brown the beef on all sides, 8 to 10 minutes per batch.
If using a slow cooker, transfer the beef to the insert and add the braising sauce. Cover and cook on high until the meat is fork-tender, about 5 hours.
If using an oven, return all the beef to the pot, add the braising sauce and 1 cup (250 ml) water, and bring to a simmer. Cover the pot tightly with aluminum foil, then cover with the lid. Transfer to a 350°F (180ºC) oven and cook until the meat is fork-tender, 3 to 4 hours.
Skim the fat off the sauce and serve.
Serves 6 to 8.

For starters I'd give this a 4 star if the truffle flavor was prominent and it's not. When opening the jar I was hoping to have an overwhelming smell of truffles, that didn't happen. About an hour into the cooking process the smell in my kitchen was wonderful and upon completion the results were outstanding. I used my Le Crueset brasier to cook the short ribs in the oven and after 3 1/2 hours the only thing I had to do was skim the fat and add a little water to thin gravy/sauce to laddle over the short ribs. I wish I had taken a photo because it was a masterpiece! I made truffle mashed potatoes and petite peas as sides. Really a wonderful dinner!Date published: 2017-10-13
