This cake is as visually stunning as it is deliciously crafted. With a single layer of We Take the Cake's best-selling moist, rich chocolate cake as the base, baked in a decorative paper base, the cake is then topped with whole fluffy pink roses made of a soft vanilla buttercream. Here's your chance to surprise someone special with flowers and chocolate in one tremendously sweet gesture.

- The cake ships frozen with dry ice, which may have evaporated during shipment. This is normal. Please take care not to touch any remaining dry ice with bare hands. Upon receipt, remove the cake from the bakery box and store in the freezer for up to 3 months, or defrost in the refrigerator overnight and keep for up to 7 days.
- The cake is best enjoyed at room temperature. Remove the plastic from the cake while it is still frozen. Defrost in the refrigerator overnight. Once thawed, remove from box and allow the cake to come to room temperature, approximately 4 hours before serving. To serve, run a large knife under hot water and dry with a towel before every slice. Store leftover cake in an airtight container, where it will keep up to 3 days refrigerated.
- Cake: Butter, sugar, trans-fat free vegetable shortening, cocoa powder, fresh eggs, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, whole buttermilk, natural vanilla. Buttercream Frosting: Butter, trans-fat free vegetable shortening, powdered sugar, natural vanilla, salt, pink food coloring.

While the rosettes on top are really pretty, the amount of icing on this cake was ridiculous. When you removed it you were left with a pretty flat layer of chocolate cake. For the past few years it's been excellent, the closest to my homemade cake and buttercream I've ever had. However this year (2017) the cake was awful. The cake had flattened to less than an inch and had TONS of frosting to make up for the height. Which wouldn't have been a deal breaker if the icing tasted good. I don't know if we got a dud or the bakery changed the recipe, but it was inedible. The cake is only fair and the icing is impossible to eat. It has no flavor other than being extremely sweet. It is so sweet it is difficult to swallow. It sticks to the roof of your mouth.
