Rated 3 out of 5 by adrianag from 3 stars I am not sure if it's because I got a refurbished machine, but don't see all they hype with vitamix. When doing a smoothie, the ice doesn't blend, and sometimes the fruit is also unblended, even when placing on high speed for a long time. Was expecting this to be way better experience than it isDate published: 2019-02-09Rated 5 out of 5 by KristaB1 from So worth the money! I finally bought my Vitamix and it is living up to all expectations! It is powerful, easy to clean and so much quieter than my Oster Pro 1200 blender. I always thought a Vitamix was too expensive. I finally bought a reconditioned model during a sale 2 months ago and I wish I would have done it sooner! We are eating plant based no oil and use cashews to make sauces and dressings. This blender makes it so much easier and faster! I am looking forward to making more recipes and soups in my Vitamix!Date published: 2019-02-09Rated 5 out of 5 by nobodyINparticular from Works for me! Bought the reconditioned. Might as well be new from what we can see and experience in use.Date published: 2019-02-07Rated 5 out of 5 by CharlesT from Excellent product Bought this in November and had used this 4-5 times a week. This blender can do everything, smoothie, soup, hot chocolate, ice cream, etc. No other blender can do the same. Cleaning is super easy. No mess, just water and soap then blend for 50 seconds then I am on the next batch.Date published: 2019-02-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Jerrie from Smoothie paradise We bought our reconditioned vitamix just before Christmas and we are so happy with the purchase. We knew that we would be using the blender bout 5 times a week just for smoothies. I wanted a blender that was capable of everyday use and still make soup and other recipes here and there through out the year. It blends our smoothies so fine our kids will now drink them now! They hated the seeds before now it’s no more chunky smoothies! Seriously it is amazing and worth every pennyDate published: 2019-02-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Ron42 from A2500 in Red, perfectly refurbished I bought the refurb A2500 after having the 780. I really liked the 780, but the A2500 was half the price and works wonderfully well. Very happy with the item and the service. I Use it at least once a day. It doesn't have the clean function, but the 50 sec smoothie function does the job just as well. It also fits under the cupboards on the counter, which is great! You will not regret this purchase.Date published: 2019-02-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Trix from So Quick I had an expensive juicer but it was TOO wasteful and such a messy clean up. I LOVE my Vitamix as it does so much more than juice. What an amazing appliance to have in any kitchen!!!Date published: 2019-02-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Kalahari from I'm a convert. Despite years of hearing my health-conscious mother toot the benefits of Vitamix, I haven't found a compelling reason to chuck my old blender and buy. When both my blender and old hand-me-down juicer (from aforementioned mother) called it quits, I looked into it. I still couldn't imagine what I would do that was so amazing with a blender. Seriously, I've had a blender for decades. It blends things for me a couple times per month. I'm not a smoothie freak, nor a raw foodest or vegan. And yet, now I get it. It took a few weeks to figure out how to incorporate it into my life, but now it's rare for a day to go by that I don't use it. I find myself buying more fresh fruits and veggies, trusting that either I'll cook them, or if not, I'll find a use for them in the Vitamix. For instance, tossed 2 leftover oranges, peeled, but otherwise whole, a half a cucumber and 1 leaf of kale without the vein and had a great healthy snack drink full of nutrients and fiber in 3 minutes for my 3 year old and myself. And it's a sort of hodge-podge of ingredients that might have gone to waste before I had this. Making nut butters is so easy, I don't know why I would ever buy them from the store again. I love making cashew golden milk (fresh tumeric, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, cashews, dates), and the other day I threw in leftover steamed broccoli that just couldn't get any traction for eating in the house into the Vitamix and made a quick batch of cream of Broccoli soup that the fam was far more enthusiastic about. I think the big difference between other blenders I've had and this one is really about the power and therefore the ability to create foods with the texture you want - an ability to get a silky smooth texture with even the most chunky/hard ingredients. So tossing an entire orange or grapefruit in (minus the skin) actually produces an awesome, slightly thickened, nutritious drink that is almost like an orange or grapefruit smoothie. Love that it cleans up so easily - a bit of water and some dish soap and run it for a few seconds on high, then rinse. Also love that if you run it long enough (>1 minute on high), it'll start to warm the food - great for the aforementioned cashew milk or soups. I do sometimes find this model to be to have too wide a base for the smaller batches I sometimes do (a small amount of tomatoes for tomato sauce, etc.), but I just have to keep that in mind. The white color is sharp. I love it.Date published: 2019-02-02
