Rated 5 out of 5 by Robert16 from Great Smaller Shakes We bought the smaller Vitamix blending cups so I could make an individual smoothie/juice for myself if no one else wanted one. They work very good.Date published: 2019-09-01Rated 3 out of 5 by GHeid from Work okay but cups are not the best quality We’re using them for exactly a year now. The blending is okay although they don’t always handle powder and small ingredients like chia seeds well. Ingredients get stuck against the wall and won’t blend. When blended longer than the 1:20 minutes where there blender turns itself off the shakes gets really warm very fast. Opening the cup and scraping thing off the wall in between blending gets messy. We don’t have issues with condensation between the double walls but are seeing the rust from the metal ring in between the plastic cups at the rim. There are also small plastic parts like splinters in between the walls. I would guess it comes from abrasion of those two cups while blending. We use them regularly but given the price that shouldn’t happen.Date published: 2019-08-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Aunrey from Great for smoothies, and smaller blends I've been using my vitamix for smoothies for quite a while, but the new blender cups are so much easier and less messy to use. I love them!Date published: 2019-08-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Maggie32 from Easy to use The blending cups are super easy and convenient to use! You just put all of your ingredients in there to make a smoothie and turn it on. It's really that easy to make a single serve smoothie.Date published: 2019-08-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Tayler from Awesome for single servings I bought my Ascent 3500 mostly because of the smaller containers available. (I already had a Pro 750) I got the blending cup kit for making my blended coffees, single serving smoothies, and plan on using them for salad dressings. I absolutely love being able to make smaller servings without having to use the big containers! The only downside to me is not being able to use the tamper, so sometimes if it’s too thick, I’ll have to take it off and tap it down... minor issue considering the payoff. I have the 8 Oz cups also, great for chopping nuts or onions! For anyone complaining about them not fitting the older machines, you can get an adapter to use the cups, which was what I did before I got my Ascent. I plan on getting a couple more cups so kids can all make their own separate smoothies... I use them almost daily!Date published: 2019-07-26Rated 5 out of 5 by burns_erin from Most used item I've been using this accessory for over a year now and it's definitely my most used component. I make a veggie protein coffee drink every morning and it starts my day off right. It's really helped me increase my vegetable consumption because he's so easy to slide a piece of two of frozen veggie into almost anything. And then drink, making no more dirty dishes.Date published: 2019-07-21Rated 5 out of 5 by donugene from Best start to my morning I use these containers every morning to make my bulletproof coffee. The convenience of mixing and taking it to go (out on the deck) is perfect. Less to clean. Works perfect every time.Date published: 2019-07-13Rated 2 out of 5 by Jh12 from Not worth it. The cups only work well when any frozen fruit included are already pretty tiny, and the end product drink has to be pretty liquidy. If its any bit more of a thick blend, you will end up with a lot of frustrations. If you are considering this, I would recommend you just get a 32 oz container or something and pour the drink into a to go cup. The cups themselves are heavy and bulky which makes them not good for carrying around on a daily basis.Date published: 2019-07-12
Can these 20 oz. blending cups be used when making a hot drink such as Bulletproof coffee, turmeric or matcha latte?Hi Dana18, it is not recommended to blend hot liquids.Date published: 2019-05-22
