Rated 5 out of 5 by Julian from Great Pan if Used Properly I bought two of the pans and do recommend them. But like all things it's knowing how to use the tool that is important. Several others commented that the pie crust browned nicely but didn't cook through. The pans are very heavy and well made, hence the likely cause of the undercooked crust. I always pre-heat the oven with a baking steel inside, then bake my pies on the pre-heated steel. This insures plenty of heat is transferred to the pan resulting in a well cooked, brown and flaky crust. If you don't have a baking steel, at least pre-heat a heavy cookie/baking sheet in the oven and bake the pies on that. I did this when visiting my sister and it worked quite well. Regarding the size, I don't think of them as 'deep dish' but use them for my standard pie recipes.Date published: 2018-01-03Rated 2 out of 5 by Miss Martha from Disappointed Since I already have the Goldtouch muffin tin, square baking pans, and 9x13 baking pan - all of which I have had excellent results - I thought I would try the pie pan. It looks beautiful and is quite heavy. I baked an apple pie today, using a recipe I have used for years. The bottom outside of the pie was beautifully browned. The rest of the crust, though, was not cooked through and actually quite tough. So although the pie looked beautiful, the crust was not done. So, I do not recommend this pie pan. As I said, I used a pie and crust recipe I have used for years. I feel badly about this and am sorry to have to write a negative review.Date published: 2017-11-26Rated 3 out of 5 by Patricia from Incorrect Product Information Since I live hundreds of miles from a Williams-Sonoma store, I mostly purchase their products online. Therefore, I rely on the product descriptions being accurate. I just received the 9 inch Goldtouch Nonstick Pie Dish and was disappointed to see the attached label showing a depth of 1.5 inches when the online description said it was 2 inches high. I selected this pie pan over a similar product because of the additional depth. Having said that, I have a few other Goldtouch baking dishes and am happy with their performance.Date published: 2017-09-22Rated 5 out of 5 by AwesomeBaker20 from BEST PIE DISH EVER This is the first time i have ever used a metal pie dish and it was amazing. I had always used a ceramic pie dish but it yielded poor results. The non-stick material really does work. I baked my pie and i made the edges more thick, so that when it had finished cooling i was just able to lift the pie right out of the dish, without scratching the golden finish. Very amazing pan and will continue buying Goldtouch products because they really are the best baking pans money can buyDate published: 2016-01-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Naenaj from Pie makers dream heats evenly, pie comes out beautifully, and very easy to clean.Date published: 2015-12-15Rated 1 out of 5 by pruer from I regret buying this pie tin the others were correct, it arrived scratched or places not covered by the gold coating. I made an apple pie in this and the crust was raw inside bottom and top! That has never happened to me, I usually make pies in a glass pie dish. I really don't want to attempt another pie in this pie tin, because if it doesn't turn out again, that is a lot of money on organic apples, wasted.Date published: 2015-07-06Rated 4 out of 5 by gspress from Sizes of Dish changed in new order I had ordered 2 of these pie dishes before in the same size and then just prior to Thanksgiving ordered another 2 pie dishes. When my husband went to stack them he found the size had changed since we ordered the last 2 pie dishes earlier in the year. Obviously Williams-Sonoma is using different manufacturers. Otherwise is a nice pie dish - just wish they all would stack together properly.Date published: 2014-12-09Rated 5 out of 5 by WindyCityRealtor from Heavy weigh and worth it For years I have been using old "Poppin Fresh" (Baker's Square) pie tins; the kind that used to be recycled. I thought after all of these years, I should actually buy a "real"pie pan. I am very pleased at the appearance and most importantly, the performance of this pie tin. Heavy weight and attractive, it baked a peach pie perfectly! Very happy with this purchase. I also purchased a pie crust guard, and liked that too.Date published: 2014-08-29
