Rated 5 out of 5 by CCpacifico from Cleans up great After a couple of years, I can truly say that it cleans up very well. I cook the chicken slowly on the barbecue. I place it on a barbecue pad and add wine and herbs to the cup before placing the chicken on it. Then I baste it with butter in the beginning. The skin comes out crispy and it’s a very juicy chickenDate published: 2018-07-15Rated 3 out of 5 by MsMorgan from One problem with this pan I loved the idea of cooking two chickens at once especially for dinner guests, but the removable "cones" are a real problem as they don't stay connected to the pan. It is impossible not to twist a chicken when you are slipping it on the cone, and as a result, the cone comes loose from the pan and chicken, at best, only falls over. So, as a previous purchaser mentioned I am going to have a friend weld the two cones on. I don't need the pan for anything else and I love beer can chicken. Because it has holes in the pan, I do put a drip pan underneath it as I cook my chickens on the grill with indirect heat.Date published: 2018-05-28Rated 5 out of 5 by fisherjim from Mild Remodel Bought one at store for family use. Complaints confirmed. Took roaster to local welder and had "tubes" MIG welded to tray. No wobble. Next, cleaned with household steam cleaner and looks new. Confirming that my sons inherited my laziness! Limits use as roasting pan but have 3 others that work for veggies and offal. Does increase storage for those with limited space....Date published: 2016-07-29Rated 3 out of 5 by beaverbrother from Sharp edges The tabs on the "cans" need to get "tapped" down with a hammer to make the fit tighter to the pan. My big problem was the sharp edges on the bottom after they punch the holes. If you drag the pan across a nice surface, it will scratch it. I spent 1 hour deburring the underside (with a drill and countersink) and sanding the bottom. there are a lot of holes and a lot of chances to scratch graniteDate published: 2016-07-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Risila from Wonderful way to cook chicken! The roaster was wonderful. The chicken moist and tasty. It was very easy to use.Date published: 2015-07-30Rated 3 out of 5 by CathyAF from rec but can see long-term problems while understand the negative clean-up reviews ( and agree after first use last night ), will hope suggestions by other reviewers solve that issue my main problem: the flimsy-ness of how the cans "attach" to the roaster-base ... one of mine is starting life already ( literally ) shaky and we can see that with repeated use this will only get worse -- much like hole in old-fashioned biscuit-cutters ... hubby is working on permanent solution ( as another commented: hint, hint W-S! ) as we will always be cooking two birds ... would welcome any suggestions to solve this !!!Date published: 2015-07-16Rated 5 out of 5 by BakerCathy from "Cans" remove, single may be placed in center Love the versatility of this design! The "cans" remove easily with a twist for easy cleaning, plus there is a center slot to place one can for single bird cooking. The base can also be used without any cans if you just want to roast veggies or fish, etc. The all stainless steel design means easy clean-up and no health worries from cooking over an aluminum beer can. Bonus--the whole thing sits very nicely on a half sheet pan if you want to use it indoors on the bottom rack of an oven. Roast 2 birds for a big group, or planned leftovers...great chicken salad the next day!Date published: 2015-07-06Rated 5 out of 5 by CentralIllinoisCook from Good Chicken, Good Design What a handy item for the grill! The chicken cooked beautifully. Even the white meat was VERY juicy. As for clean-up: I had no problems. I sprayed it with some Easy-Off Oven Cleaner and loaded it into the dishwasher (waiting about 30 minutes before starting the machine). It came out clean. There were a couple of grill-blacked surface stains that were easily removed with a little Bar Keepers' Friend.Date published: 2015-05-16
