  • In the mid-1800s, Michael Thonet led a revolution in furniture making, inventing a method for bending wood to create super-strong, lightweight chairs. Crafted by TON in the original Thonet factory, this chair is true to the famous Chair 811, designed by Josef Hoffman for Thonet in 1930. It combines a solid beech wood frame with a tight yet flexible cane seat and back in rounded square shapes that feel spacious and supportive. True to their European roots, these bistro chairs are slightly smaller in proportion to modern dining chairs.
