- An innovative 9-hole spray arm disperses the water over the entire grind for a remarkably even soak prior to extraction.
- Copper lining along the spray arm keeps the water temperature consistent throughout the wetting stage.
- To ensure a precise coffee/water contact time, a cone-shaped brew basket funnels the grind to the perfect bed depth.
- Operation is simple – just fill the brew basket, add water and press the power switch.
- An insulated steel carafe keeps coffee hot.
- Adjustable brew basket features a manual drip-stop to brew a half pot, a full pot, or a full drip-stop for a quick cup before the brew cycle completes.

- Vanilla Bean Iced Coffee Recipe
In a pitcher, stir the ground coffee into 4 cups water. Cover and let stand at room temperature for at least 12 hours or up to overnight.
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the vanilla beans, milk and sugar. Bring the mixture to a simmer and immediately remove from the heat. Let steep for about 20 minutes.
Select 4 tumblers. Strain the coffee through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl. Strain again through a coffee filter into a large, clean pitcher. Fill the glasses with ice cubes. Pour the coffee into the glasses, filling them to within 1 inch of the rim. Top each glass with 1/4 cup of the vanilla-flavored milk.
Garnish each drink with a vanilla bean pod and serve immediately. Serves 4.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JFSD from Great Coffee Machine I bought this coffee machine because I was fed up with my very expensive, not very good Jura. When I bought the Jura I thought a semi automatic machine that all I had to do was press a button was the answer to my at home coffee needs, but after 2 years I was fed up with luke warm (at best) 4 oz cup of coffee (the Jura can not make a strong 8 oz cup of coffee) and a machine that was constintly posting errors (I spent more team trying to fix the machine than I did using the machine). I was looking for a simple machine that would make a good cup of coffee and keep the coffee hot. The Moccamaster does all of this and is easy to use. This machine makes a fast and very good cup of coffee and the thermal carafe keep the coffee hot for several hours. This machine really is easy to use and while it doesn't have a lot of fancy features, I am more than satisfied with the machine. Plus, it comes with a 5 year warranty. The only issue I have is that if you do not set up the machine right (this happened to me once) the coffee will overflow. This happened to me once, essentially you need to be careful that the carafe and plastic disk under the carafe are both aligned correctly. But for that one issue I would give this machine a 5 star rating.Date published: 2019-01-27Rated 5 out of 5 by GoldenIdaho from The best home coffee maker - hands down! We have owned our Technivorm (with Thermal Carafe) for over three years, and have loved it since day one. It brews quickly at the optimal temperature. I like HOT coffee, and this machine delivers. But I always preheat the carafe with hot water while I’m grinding beans and cleaning the basket. Doing so keeps the coffee hot for several hours. This machine is beautifully engineered to do one thing: brew the best cup of coffee possible. For those who want to make coffee the night before and wake up to a hot pot: look elsewhere. No timers, pre-sets, or grinders included.Date published: 2018-12-04Rated 5 out of 5 by LeeK from No fluff, just great coffee! We've had this for about 8 months. All I can say is what took us so long? After spending thousands on expensive Breville, Cuisinart, Capusso, others we got tired of replacing them every two years because something inevitably failed and the coffee became virtually undrinkable. In hindsight, they were way overcomplicated. We are so happy with this machine!! - so easy to clean and easy to make great, consistently great coffee. Highly recommend buying the Technivorm grinder. Makes the perfect cup of coffee every time!Date published: 2018-10-19Rated 3 out of 5 by Wishes from Nice cup of Warm coffee So, I read reviews and watched countless videos on YouTube. I enjoyed the splash of purchasing the best coffee system on the planet. It does make a good cup of coffee but.....the thermal pot does NOT keep the coffee hot. I own yet another coffee maker with warm coffee that ends up in the microwave. Additionally, there is no point at the top of the pot to pour. Unless you use the pour spout in the plastic insert, the coffee pours all over your cup and counter. This is a needless annoyance for such an expensive product. I own a new Capresso. At the end of the day, the Technivorm is no better.Date published: 2018-02-20Rated 4 out of 5 by I Like Good Coffee from Very Good Coffee Maker, Faulty Users!! So I read most of the reviews, starting with the 2 star ratings! I was able to duplicate some of the issues, but found most of them to be 'experience with the machine' issues, or expectations that exceed what I believe are reasonable! Without writing a book, here are a few of the issues I read about, my experience with those issues, and my fix or willingness to accept the issue as 'nothing's perfect'! 1. Coffee is not hot My experience: Measured temp was above 200* at the spray bar. Coffee drunk directly after brewing was as hot as any other coffee-maker I've experienced. Second cup sitting in carafe was reasonably hot without tasting burned like a coffeemaker with a warming plate! Expectation: They make a version with a glass carafe. I did not want the glass carafe model. If you want your coffee to be hot for hours after brewing, then buy the correct model! 2. Coffee is not strong enough My experience: I followed the recommended volume of water and coffee scoops (their scooper). I also used a medium fine grind from my burr grinder. I used the slower drip setting, and my coffee was just as I like it. Slight fruitiness, but strongish coffee taste (not coffee expert terms, but my own taste description). Expectation: If you like your coffee stronger, use more coffee and manually close the drip setting and open it after the basket is half full of water. Leave the cover off the basket so you can stir the grinds into the water for max saturation. 3. Coffee Maker Makes a Mess (leaks from basket) My Experience: If you remove the carafe from under the basket before it finishes the cycle, and even after, the basket will drip/leak. If you close the drip control prior to removing the carafe, it will NOT drip! Is this an extra step, yes! Is it worth remembering to do it, yes! Is it worth complaining about? In a machine this expensive, maybe! This machine is a very BASIC machine for the money $$$, but of course you knew that when you bought it!... Conclusion: Very good BASIC coffee maker that requires some user involvement to extract the best coffee! I am probably leaving off some 'complaints' that I read, but I hit on the ones that were significant to me. If you are needing a more sophisticated machine, there are other products that will likely suit your needs! But you likely will not end up with a better cup of coffee!!...Date published: 2018-02-16Rated 5 out of 5 by AnnieH from Great coffee, great machine; faulty users! We bought this model a couple years ago and while it makes wonderful coffee, we ruined the finish on our wood cabinets because with early morning fog head, we didn't see the coffee remaining in the carafe from the day before. We now have the model with the glass carafe and auto-stop drip basket and LOVE it - best coffee makers on the market! This model is STILL highly recommended if you prefer the thermal carafe to glass, but make SURE you get in a good habit of emptying the leftovers BEFORE you make a new pot. Hmmmm, some people probably clean it out every day....like our daughter in law, who now LOVES this machine!Date published: 2018-01-02Rated 4 out of 5 by AngM from No automatic stop an fliptop lid! We like the hot coffee it makes! Really wish I would have looked for one with automatic stop. Now I noticed on line they have one. Baffles me they haven't upgraded to auto stop and a flip top lid for water tank, for the price they charge ! Even the cheap coffee makers have those optionsDate published: 2017-11-09Rated 1 out of 5 by MRB1 from Sometimes Hot, Sometimes Cold I have had this coffee maker for less than a year, sometimes the coffee is hot and many times the coffee is barely warm, this is not a good product for the cost, I would not recommend it to anyone who wants consistent results.Date published: 2017-11-09
