Sweet Jane Toasted Coconut Custard Pie, Serves 8-10

Sweet Jane's Bakeshop has been a Bay Area favorite for more than four decades, beloved for its tempting takes on classic American desserts. A coconut lover's dream, this decadent southern favorite features a rich, smooth custard prepared with cream, whole eggs, nutmeg and coconut, and a topping of shredded coconut, all baked to a golden, toasted finish. Serve with whipped cream on the side for a memorable dessert.

Receiving Instructions

• The pie ships frozen with dry ice, which may have evaporated during shipment. This is normal. Please take care not to touch any remaining dry ice with bare hands.
• Upon receipt, store the pie in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Serving Instructions

• If frozen, thaw in the refrigerator overnight. The pie is fully cooked and can be served at room temperature.

• Milk, granulated sugar, whole eggs, coconut (coconut, sugar, water, propylene glycol, salt and sodium metabisulfite), unbleached flour (wheat flour, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), cream (milk), baking shortening (sustainably produced palm oil, canola oil), water, salt, pure vanilla, vinegar, coconut extract (alcohol, water, glycerin, natural coconut flavors), nutmeg.
