- Oven safe up to 500°F.
- For best results use low to medium heat.
- When using high heat, bring your pan slowly to a high temperature.
- Use plastic, wood or nylon utensils only; metal utensils may damage the enamel.
- Stoneware lid may chip or crack if banged against a hard surface.
- Cast and base can become very hot. Always use pot holder or glove when handling.
- Allow pan to cool before washing.
- Dishwasher safe.
- Stubborn stains can be removed by soaking your pot for a few minutes in hot soapy water.
- Completely dry pan before storing.

For an additional charge of $17.50 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. Orders received by 9:00 p.m., Eastern time, Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

Staub traces its origin to the Alsace region of France, where founder Francis Staub designed his first enameled pot while working in an old French artillery factory in 1974. With the goal of creating the perfect pot for cooking the region’s traditional hearty soups, stews and braises, he combined cast iron, the most popular material of the time, with the latest enameling technology available. Today, Staub still makes its cookware at a traditional atelier in France, casting each pot in an individual sand mold, which is heated to 800°F and destroyed after use. The exterior enamel coating is made with glass powder and mineral pigments, applied in two or three coats to generate brilliant glossy colors.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Madisonmommy from Staub delivers I love every Staub item I have. The tagine just looks great sitting on the range. Now for the things that really count. It is sturdy, clearly built to last a lifetime. I expect to hand these down to the next generation. It's very heavy. The shape of the cone is superior to others. It can be used on the stovetop but make sure you have enough hight to use it in the oven. The taller dome improves the basting process happening inside during use. You will need a taller space for storage too. Even the most novice of cooks will impress their family or guests. I only used a recipe one time. After that, it was so simple to create my own dishes. Meat, fish, dense veggies go on the bottom, light veggies, seasoning and whatever else sounds good on top with 1\4 cup water or stock (no dairy or bread). Pop it in a hot oven until the meat reaches a safe internal temp using a meat thermometer or the veggies are at your preferred doneness. While it may seem exotic in a typical US kitchen, it is perfect for the day before a grocery run. Layer in the last of whatever you have and dinner is done. You want Mexican? Put in chicken thighs, chopped onion, tomatoes, tomatillos etc, add cumin, paprika, salt and chilies. You want Italian? Sweet Italian sausages, onion, Roma tomatoes, mushrooms, whole garlic, salt and sprinkle with basil, oregano and thyme. Mediteranean? Lamb, sweet potatoes, onions, pine nuts, turmeric, salt and a drizzle of honey. Good 'ole American? Beef cubes, potato wedges, carrots, an onion, salt, pepper. You can even load it the day before or morning of and keep it in the fridge until you start dinner. The heavily glazed enamel makes clean up a breeze.
