Celebrate the fall harvest with a collectible kitchen-to-table cocotte in the natural shape of a pumpkin. Cast iron's unparalleled ability to retain heat makes this piece a great choice for slow-cooking the season's signature soups, stews, pot roasts and braises. As practical as it is beautiful, the cocotte features Staub's innovative enamel coating for superior performance, style and durability.

  • Sculptural base and lid replicate pumpkin shape, complete with "stem" handle crafted of solid brass.
  • Glossy multicoat enameling ensures strength and heat resistance – and creates a vibrantly colored "majolique" finish.
  • Enamel coating resists rust, chipping and cracking and requires no additional seasoning.
  • Black matte interior enamel contains traces of quartz to provide additional heat resistance and a textured surface that improves browning.
  • Made in France.

More about Staub

Staub traces its origin to the Alsace region of France, where founder Francis Staub designed his first enameled pot while working in an old French artillery factory in 1974. With the goal of creating the perfect pot for cooking the region's traditional hearty soups, stews and braises, he combined cast iron, the most popular material of the time, with the latest enameling technology available. Today, Staub still makes its cookware at a traditional atelier in France, casting each pot in an individual sand mold, which is heated to 800°F and destroyed after use. The exterior enamel coating is made with glass powder and mineral pigments, applied in two or three coats to generate brilliant glossy colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added to my collection I purchased this STAUB cast iron pumpkin to add to my collection. I would love to add the small 16 oz ceramic pumpkins but unfortunately they are not made in France like the cast iron pumpkins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing craftsmanship! I purchased the pumpkin and the tomato cast iron casseroles for my daughters as gifts. The price was spectacular and they were delivered in less than a week. They are beautiful works of art and well made. I know my daughter will never expect this gift as prices elsewhere were out of reach. These are actually for next Christmas, I found your site by accident after being disappointed by another seller on a similar item. I also realized that my children graced me with a set of knives from your company years ago.....I use them everyday, they are spectacular. As you can tell, we are a family that loves to cook.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As beautiful as it is functional I purchased the orange pumpkin last year. It is truly a work of art. So pretty and classy looking. It also cooks equally as well. Put mashed potatoes in it for thanksgiving dinner this year. Love! I want to get the black and white next year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the Wait! Don't hesitate to buy Staub--it will quickly become your favorite and your other pots will feel neglected. This was my 5th Staub purchase. Every Staub pot INSPIRES me to make something--feels great in your hands and looks strong and beautiful. I had been looking at the pumpkin for about 3 years, thinking that it was a seasonal purchase and so I wanted to get a great deal. I did at a January WS sale! I was on an orange kick last year and made all my kitchen accessories orange, so I kept the pot on the stove year round. I like the size, very versatile and not heavy. Regarding color, I had looked on line and noticed some were yellower and some looked darker orange (mine seems to be in between 3.5 qt) beautiful shade and very glossy. I did chip the pot rim, but its minor. When I move on from my orange period, I'll use it from Sept-Jan. I decided to buy the red tomato next, and use it as a seasonal Christmas pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality I bought this for my wife. She collects pumpkin decorations and was excited to get this beautiful, excellent quality Staub cocotte. I have bought other Staub products in the past, and will buy more in the future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A work of Art. This cocotte is wonderful and easy to cook and serve with. Very useful addition to the kitchen. Many items can look great in a professional photo or catalog. Most things don’t look as nice in person. I’ve gotten used to that, but this cocotte is as beautiful in person as it is in the catalog photo. It’s a total work of art that must be displayed. Worth every penny. The only thing is it’s heavy, as cast iron should be. So this is really no issue for me. It’s just another great quality product from Staub.
