Rated 5 out of 5 by Frenchpastry from Perfection ! After replacing my glass nested set of mixing bowls three times over the last ten years because of rim chips I decided to go with W&S stainless-steel set of mixing bowls. I don't know why I waited so long, they are wonderful. Perfect sizes, weight to the metal and dishwasher safe. When I do hand wash water never collects under the rim. I have found that I use all of the sizes in the set but have also purchased an additional three of the 2 quart size because I use those the most. I told my sister they were the most simple but best kitchen item I have purchased in years and now she has bought a set and agrees with me.Date published: 2018-06-28Rated 1 out of 5 by mca1 from Buyer Beware So, I bought the individual 10 quart bowl about a year ago and I use it all the time. It was heavy-duty with large capacity. I had some W/S credit and decided to get an entire set. Although they are the same "Made in India" with Williams Sonoma brand etched on outside bottom, these bowls are lower quality. I actually weighed the 10 quart bowl and it is about 200 gm lighter than the one I bought a year ago. I'd return these if I hadn't used my credit (that was going to expire) but at almost $100 for the set, these are expensive and not worth it.Date published: 2017-11-29Rated 5 out of 5 by chesepioc from What I've been looking for Needed/wanted a few larger bowls for making salads, tossing wings, etc. Getting to a restaurant supply store was never convenient. Happen to find these at W&S and they fit what I was looking for perfectly. Well built, multiple sizes, reasonably pricedDate published: 2017-11-23Rated 5 out of 5 by ScottGChi from Shockingly good quality for the price I purchased the 2 quart size and I bought it specifically to use as a double boiler. Size is perfect to fit over my 3 quart pot, and even works over my 2 quart. Quality is very high...feels like the metal is double layered. Rim is nice and stiff. And the word "2 Quart" is engraved in the bottom of the bowl, for those who could benefit from such a detail. I've been a kick lately to buy only what I feel is the "good stuff" and this definitely fits the bill. Have purchased quite a bit of the new-ish Open Kitchen line and have been very happy with everything so far. This is branded on the bottom as Williams Sonoma, but don't know if it's technically part of the Open Kitchen line.Date published: 2017-03-02Rated 4 out of 5 by Gracefully from Perfect! Lightweight, wide, essential! I don't know how I cooked without these bowls! I use them for everything but they are especially great for tossing ingredients together. I have all of the sizes and I no longer have to worry if I have the correct bowl for the dish. Scratches easily, but it is stainless steel so that is to be expected.Date published: 2016-09-04Rated 5 out of 5 by IsThisNameTakenYet from Initial impression - excellent bowls Initial review too long, so summarizing briefly (excuse choppy language). I looked at these bowls online, but no reviews. I mistakenly assumed that the "Stainless-Steel Restaurant Mixing Bowls, Set of 5" product was just a bundled version of this product, and read those reviews instead. These bowls and the 5-piece set are not the same. I went to a W-S store and was able to compare the two. IMHO, these ones are much nicer. I was concerned about reports of rust for the other set, but after seeing both together, I'm not worried about these. I've only had them a few weeks so far, and will post an update if things change. Things I like about these are: + Nice shape. Had W-S melamine bowls for past 16 years, and these are much better for mixing/tossing + Easy to clean. Metal is mirror finish. Can almost just rinse and be done. Will probably change as scratches develop, but that's expected. Rounded corners, including lip, so food doesn't get trapped +Lightweight, but sturdyDate published: 2015-09-09
