Rated 1 out of 5 by Susan7 from Defective I used my pastry blender for the first time today and it was impossible to use. My husband also tried unsuccessfully, I had to use a fork instead. There is a design flaw in the device. The handle is coming apart.Date published: 2019-05-18Rated 1 out of 5 by Linda from Handle loosens after a few minutes I've been using this for pastry blender for several years now. It works great until the screws on the sides become loose after several minutes of working the pastry making it impossible to use. I have to keep a small phillips head screw driver on the counter while I'm using it. When the screws get loose, I stop, tighten it, and continue. I'm tired of wrestling with this anymore so I'm throwing it in the trash and buying a different one.Date published: 2018-04-17Rated 1 out of 5 by 55NormaJean from Poor Handle Connection The handle becomes loose quickly and renders the tool ineffective. It should be secured with other than the two screws. Love the overall look of the product, but the handle needs to be stationary for the tool to be used as intended.Date published: 2016-10-27Rated 5 out of 5 by Frazie from This may be an heirloom! This is the sturdiest and best looking pastry blender I have ever seen. It is my idea of a perfect baking tool.Date published: 2016-02-12Rated 4 out of 5 by TravelingCakeLady from Feels Good In Your Hand This item has a good weight and fits your hand well. I have small hands and I didn't feel like I was trying to hold a bowling ball while working with my pastry.Date published: 2015-08-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Natab0525 from Great tool! Love this. It makes quick work of any biscuit dough.Date published: 2014-04-26Rated 5 out of 5 by chezpeck from Favorite tool Hands-down one of the best kitchen gadgets. I have made numerous pie crusts and scones using this tool, and they come out perfect every time. The crusts are well blended and flaky, and the scones are very tender. This beats using a food processor (makes the dough too tough) , forks or hands. The only cons are that it tends to slip in bowl, which makes things messy, and it isn't exactly ergo friendly.Date published: 2013-10-23Rated 5 out of 5 by thisisflo from More than a Pastry Blender I use this Pastry Blender to mash avocado for guacamole. When I need to separate cooked ground meat for tacos or spaghetti, chomp chomp chomp the jobs done. I use it to chop hard cooked eggs for egg salad sandwiches. I use this all the time and it holds up like a champ. I wouldn't be without it in my kitchen.Date published: 2013-09-23
