Rated 5 out of 5 by Frenchy7 from Essential for any baker I love it! I bought it at a store, this mat is essential to any baker. I use it to make macarons. Great product. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves baking.Date published: 2017-02-05Rated 5 out of 5 by laurenaust from Can't Live Without My Silpat!! A family friend had this mat, so I requested it on my wedding registry. I LOVE IT. I use it for chicken parm, meatballs, roasting veggies, cookies, etc. I will never go back to using aluminum and having it rip and leak. It makes for the easiest clean up! I'm surprised that they're not more expensive for how durable and amazing they are. If you purchase, make sure you have a bigger cookie sheet than normal because they are big!Date published: 2016-10-27Rated 2 out of 5 by C3C3LIA from What size pan are you supposed to use with this?! I have the Silpat "Cookie Sheet" size Pan Liner, I ordered it June 2015, but I have only used it a few times, because it doesn't fit ANY of my baking sheets! The actual dimension of the "Cookie Sheet" pan liner I have is 12.2" x 16.9". I thought, at first, a half sheet pan (13" x 18") would work, but all of their inner dimensions are too small (the sides of the pan slope inward slightly make the usable liner size more like 11.38" x 16.5" ). I am currently unable to use my Silpat because of this. Can someone recommend a pan I could use my Silpat with that fits it? Preferably one where I won't have 4" of uncovered space around where the mat covers? This "Cookie Sheet" size Silpat seems to fall in between a standard half sheet baking pan and a standard full sheet baking pan. I am literally stuck in the middle unable to use my Silpat.Date published: 2016-04-11Rated 5 out of 5 by sassysue from loving this! This product will make your life so much easier. It cuts the amount of time spent making pie crust and cut out cookies in half! Treat yourself, your time is worth something.Date published: 2015-10-22Rated 5 out of 5 by BonnyS from Silpat Silicone liner I finally had to buy a new one after 8 years - one of my 'cannot live without' items in my kitchen. It says use it for cookies - I literally use it for anything I put in the oven on a cookie sheet! I saw Martha Stewart use these on her show years ago... so glad I did!Date published: 2015-08-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Shellbelle from The best baking sheet I have 2 large and 2 small and use them for everything from roasting potatoes to baking biscuits - I have also bought them for my mother in law who uses hers all the time.Date published: 2015-05-31Rated 5 out of 5 by Moose13 from Love my Silpat It fits my half sheet pan and works great . Saves me using parchment paper.Date published: 2015-04-20Rated 5 out of 5 by ScottishTerrierLover from Two Different Sizes I own two of these in different sizes and love them. They are perfect for baking my Spicy Sugared Pecans. They also help to protect my Goldtouch sheet/jelly roll baking sheets. I recommend the Silpats!Date published: 2015-03-25
I have all of the W-S goldtone baking sheets. Have not had issues with sticking. Do I still need Silpats? Thank you.Hi YorkieMom24, You can use Silpat on any baking sheet (nonstick or traditional uncoated). They are meant for a sheet that is not coated but a lot of bakers prefer to bake on Silpat regardless of the coating because it optimizes heat conduction for perfectly baked cookies and pastries.Date published: 2018-12-28
I do bake but would prefer to use these mats for roasting vegetables and/or broiling fish. It says safe to 480 degrees. What has been the experience of those who've used them beyond baking?Hi Barbara, You can use a Silpat silicone mat any way parchment paper is meant to be used so it would be perfect for roasting vegetables and baking fish. We don't recommend using it under the broiler since broiling temperature starts at 500 degrees F and these mats are oven safe to 480 degrees F.Date published: 2019-02-12
