- Dimensions & More Info
- 13 3/4" x 9 3/4" x 2 1/4" high.
- 3 1/2-qt. cap.
- 3 lb. 12 oz.
- Made in Italy.
- Use & Care
- Ideal for gas and electric cooktops.
- Oven safe to 450°F.
- To protect the tin lining from damage, do not heat the pot empty or at temperatures above 450°F.
- Use wood, plastic or heat-resistant nylon tools to avoid scratching the tin lining.
- Allow pot to cool before washing.
- Hand-wash; dry immediately with a soft cloth.
- Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents.
- Copper will develop a rich patina over time. This will not affect the pan's cooking performance. To keep the exterior looking new, use a copper polish or a combination of lemon and salt.
- The tin lining protects foods from reacting with copper but will become discolored over time. This is normal. Depending on the frequency of use and types of food cooked, the tin lining may eventually have to be replaced. To prolong the lining's usefulness, avoid cooking acidic ingredients in your tin-lined cookware.

- More about Ruffoni
Ruffoni was founded in 1962 in Omegna, Italy, a beautiful lakeside town at the base of the Alps that’s known for its tradition of metalworking and coppersmiths. The Ruffoni family preserves this history in its private collection and museum, which showcases antique copper cookware and early copper-production processes. The company’s skilled artisans still use many of these time-tested, hands-on techniques to craft heirloom-quality cookware as beautiful as it is functional. From hand-hammered exteriors to decorative molded handles and knobs, the famous Italian attention to design shines in every piece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jmmill from Beautiful Pan I received the first pan quickly, as promised, but it had an imperfection. WS handled the exchange for a new one with great customer service and expediency. The replacement pan arrived quickly and without imperfections. I have not baked anything in it yet. That is why I have only given it 4 stars. Once I use it, I will consider adding the 5th one. It's a beautiful gratin pan, and I look forward to seeing it on my table with something yummy in it.Date published: 2016-06-10Rated 5 out of 5 by Nantucket from Beautiful Pan I own several pots by Ruffoni and saw that Williams-Somoma had the gratin pan on sale during the holidays. It's something I've always wanted and I'm so glad I bought it. It's beautiful to cook in and the pan itself makes a great presentation. Received many comments.Date published: 2014-12-31Rated 5 out of 5 by BlackHandGallery from 1-1.5mm thickness is parfait. ;) I use the oven for most of my food preparation (steaks, porkchops, fish, veggies, etc.....) so the 1 - 1.5mm thickness was not only appropriate (as well as recommended) and the light weight of the pan is easy on my wrists. While WS doesn't disclose the thickness - the information is available online with some research. I also keep the heat well below the 450 degree threshold. I love this pan not only for its functionality but its aesthetic value and heirloom design. Bon Appétit!!Date published: 2014-06-12Rated 2 out of 5 by Harlem from Disappointed The thickness of the copper in this pan is not readily available before purchase. It is thinner than store personnel informed. It is beautiful and if you want a pan for its beauty, this may be it. But, for cooking I would rather have the thicker copper. It is however, when on sale, ok for the price.Date published: 2014-06-08Rated 5 out of 5 by jdonne from my favorite saute pan Cooks vegetables divinely. All the crisp flavors retained in the food. It is light so for those over 60 that difficulty with heavy pots it's great. And finally it is beautiful to look at.Glad I purchased this copper pot. My only wish is that they were more affordable. I would buy an entire setpDate published: 2014-06-07Rated 5 out of 5 by PeatMoss from Gorgeous Oval Gratin Pan I lamented about purchasing this pan for about a year. I didn't own any Ruffoni cookware in my collection and I was a little skeptical of the price. It went on sale over the Christmas holiday and I couldn't resist. It is gorgeous and larger than I had expected. I've made au gratin potatoes with gruyere cheese, baked talapia with sauted onions, lemon and rosemary and sausage stuffing with sage. I don't know why I waited so long to buy it.Date published: 2014-06-01Rated 3 out of 5 by ssnnyc from Beautiful..... I am searching for the perfect recipe for my first use of this beautiful pan. Also my first Copper pan and am a little intimidated about usage. Should I be? I read about acidic foods reaction like tomatoes etc. Can't wait to break it in.Date published: 2012-11-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Aliffe from Perfect Pan for Grand Presentations I searched and searched for the perfect pan for Julia Child's Turkey Orloff. I finally found it. What better way to bbring the main course to the dinner table than in this pan with such a star recipie. The secondary advantage is when not in use it such a compliment to my kitchen hanging on the wall. I've had it for a while and I don't know of a con.Date published: 2012-05-27
