Rated 4 out of 5 by Jonesro from Powerful steam, shut-off confusing I've been using this about a month. I'm a quilter and I was really looking forward to the powerful steam and infrequent refills of the water vessel. However the thing that sticks out is how quickly it shuts down if I leave it sit, and then it's very confusing to get it going again. It relies on your interpretation of blinking lights to tell you what it's doing. The "manual" has zero actual information-- just enigmatic pictograms. I eventually found a help page online that described what happens with these blinking lights. So I have it mostly figured out now. But my biggest complaint is that it shuts down after only eight minutes on the cradle--this is too short, and it takes more than two minutes for it to come back to life and provide steam after it has done so. I consider this a real flaw In its design.Date published: 2019-08-24Rated 2 out of 5 by Gedion from good work but...... i rather shut it off instead of shutting on its own, or had they provided a shut off button. its good on cotton but on linen ive to spray easy starch and i was hoping for cloud forming steam.any way because of the annoying shut off and the time to restart i am going to return itDate published: 2019-08-23Rated 5 out of 5 by MCL45 from Great Steam! So far, I love this steam station. Easy to use with lots of steam. I had the older steam station until it died, but I think I like this one more. Easy refills, more steam and easier to handle. Great productDate published: 2019-08-22Rated 2 out of 5 by Dude from Shuts off to soon. Purchased three months ago. Love the idea of a quality constant steam iron. BUT, this one shuts off to soon, 8 minutes is to soon. It takes 3-5 minutes to reheat. . . to long. And I hate the "photo" instructions. They are cute. . . but I want the instructions written out so I can insure I am following them correctly, not misunderstanding the photos. I am very disappointed.Date published: 2019-08-20Rated 5 out of 5 by MonicaL2903 from One Of The Bests I’ve Tried! What can I say about this amazing garment steamer. It is so easy to use and works perfectly at getting all of my cloth items nicely steamed and pressed. I don’t have to spend any more money at the dry cleaners! The steam comes out with great pressure which makes it very easy to steam both sides without having to flip the garment. It is very easy to add water to the chamber and the water lasts a pretty long time. I also love the long cord. I have steam ironed everything from suits to dresses to curtains still on the rod and everything looks great. I definitely recommend this steaming station, it is one of the best out there! I only wish I had gotten the next step up with higher watts.Date published: 2019-08-08Rated 4 out of 5 by Judi from Great Iron This is the 2nd Rowenta steam station I have owned. I had the first one for about 10 years and it was great. It stopped working and I was told it was not repairable. The model I had was discontinued so I recently purchased this model. It's OK but I liked my old one better. I don't think this one is as powerful as the old model was but it's fine.Date published: 2019-08-01Rated 5 out of 5 by Bostonjack from Super effective, multi useful Works awesome for frilly little ruffles that are normally a pin to iron with a regular iron. Hang a skirt up and it takes no time to steam the wrinkles out. Takes a bit longer for thicker fabric, but works. Works great for gowns. Puts a nice crease if you use it as an iron instead of hanging clothes to steam them. The instructions leave a bit to be desired. They were all pictures with no words, however, was easy to follow. I like how it shuts of itself if not in use. Over all it is my new everyday Iron. I do alot of seamstress work and this works for any sewing project I am working on.
