Rated 5 out of 5 by mbla from Awesome Baker’s Board I’ve had this board for quite sometime and it is a beautifully constructed board. It is provides ample work area and I love the weight and the lip to “anchor” to the counter both of which prevent slipping/sliding. I treat with John Boos Mystery Oil and Board Cream regularly to keep it looking as beautiful as the day it arrived. Its a favorite in my kitchen for baking... I do not chop or cut on mine.Date published: 2019-07-16Rated 5 out of 5 by 10toesinSC from A key player in our kitchen We bought this right after remodeling so we probably got ours in 2001. It's fabulous and we use both sides. It's near the sink so we need to be careful to prop it to dry when water gets under it. Tons of people comment about it. It doesn't slide around, it's great if you are tall and want a little more height for chopping too. We leave it out all of the time.Date published: 2018-01-30Rated 5 out of 5 by StarfishMom from Durable Pastry Board I have had this reversible pastry board for 6 years. I never chop on it. It looks like new. It cleans well and I use it for making pie crusts as well as other baking projects.Date published: 2016-12-19Rated 5 out of 5 by elroyjetson from Wow, what a board!!! This just arrived last night, and it is quite simply the most beautiful board I've ever owned. Make no mistake - this thing is large and heavy. But after years of fussing about with a much smaller board and waxed paper and everything moving around, I really wanted something that would a) be large enough and b) not move around. The fact that it's also beautiful is a plus. A great addition to your kitchen if you have the space.Date published: 2015-12-02Rated 5 out of 5 by KCKCII from Beautiful Board I purchased this pastry board after seeing it displayed at a WS store. It is an easy way to make a perfect pie crust and all other pastries. Just too beautiful to use as a cutting board. Love it!Date published: 2014-07-01Rated 4 out of 5 by MrsBinPhoenix from Nice cutting board I have been on a quest for the perfect cutting board. This one comes close. It is a nice, large size. The back lip keeps food from falling off and the front lip keeps it in place. It is heavy enough that it doesn't slide around while cutting. When it arrived, it looked like one of the seams wasn't quite tight enough. I will keep my eye on it to see if it pulls apart. If so, I'll exchange it because for the price, I expect perfection. It is really too large in my opinion to "store" it away. I keep it on my counter all the time but it looks nice so that isn't a problem.Date published: 2014-06-30Rated 5 out of 5 by MiataNina from This board makes baking enjoyable. I received this as a gift from my mother. I LOVE IT. I just finished all my Christmas baking and this was a god-send. I rolled out many things and was so happy to have this board. (Last year I struggled with the dough sticking to my counter.) After reading the other comments, I realize that I could use this as a cutting board. I feel this is so precious that I would not want to sully it with meat or vegetables. The only drawback is that it is so big, that I do not know where to store it. It won't fit in any of my cabinets. So I store it in the basement.Date published: 2013-12-29Rated 5 out of 5 by gizmopunkin from Wonderful tool for pies and cookies Love this board; it sturdy, large enough but not unwieldy, excellent design with the double lip. Even when rolling out cold, stiff cookie dough the lip keeps it in place. Like the double side; but I use one for cookies and one for pie dough; can't bring myself to use such a gem for a chopping board!Date published: 2013-12-06
My island is square with bullnose edge, will this work on it?Hi Alice, Because the pastry board edge that is against the counter edge is flat, this would not be secure against a rounded counter top (bullnose) edge.Date published: 2019-04-28
Will this work on a bullnose edged (rounded) counter top? Meaning will it fit properly and securely?Hi amateur, Because the pastry board edge that is against the counter edge is flat, this would not be secure against a rounded counter top edge.Date published: 2019-04-22
