When time is of the essence, you’ll appreciate the latest revolution in French baking: the first truly ready-to-bake premium croissants. Created by master pastry chef Jean-Yves Charon, these petite pastries are prepared by hand with the same all-natural ingredients as our other croissants. They go straight from freezer to oven without a minute of proofing and bake up light and airy, with a delicate flaky texture and a hint of buttery richness. Sized for three or four scrumptious bites, they’re perfect last-minute treats for brunch or tea, kids’ breakfasts and impromptu entertaining.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Hans from Not what I was expecting from WS I do not know if the baking directions for this item were wrong (defrost for 20 - 30 minutes, then in the oven, so no proofing), but they were not a hit in our house. Dense, chewy, not airy and puffy.....Date published: 2019-09-10Rated 5 out of 5 by pkf242 from Excellent! I suspect some of the negative reviews are due to not following package directions - which is to let them defrost on a parchment lined baking sheet for 20 - 30 minutes before putting them in a 375 degree oven. If you do this, they come out perfect every time - flaky and flavorful. Have served these many times for overnight guests and they are always a big hit.Date published: 2019-08-25Rated 1 out of 5 by travelgirl from Poor quality These croissants were a very big disappointment. I had bought the previously sold product (the one that had to rise for some hours) and was very please. These are gummy, tough, and don't bake all the way through. I will be looking for a different supplier.Date published: 2019-03-10Rated 5 out of 5 by NancyLikesYummies from Just as good as the overnight version. These turn out just as nicely as their "overnight" versions. We actually purchase both on a regular basis. I've served these mini classics freezer-to-oven croissants to people who did not know that they weren't the overnight type and they didn't know the difference until I told them. You do have to make sure that follow the package directions. Really handy to have in the freezer as you don't have to plan ahead to enjoy them.Date published: 2018-12-09Rated 1 out of 5 by Lisag from Do Not Buy! I love the original mini croissants that rise & buy for all holidays, these are terrible. They do not rise, brown to quickly & are raw/doughy. I will never buy again. The chocolate ones are good & rise nicely. I should get a refund, definitely not worth the price!Date published: 2018-11-20Rated 1 out of 5 by georgiep123 from NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!! I have been buying these for years but once they came out with the ‘freezer to oven’ instead of the ones that rise overnight I thought I would give them a try. Don’t bother. The quality is terrible especially considering the price. They do not rise at all and they cook very unevenly. Always too brown on the bottom and too doughy and under cooked in the middle and on top. I tried to turn them over because the top was so undercooked but that didn’t help. Also they are extremely greasy and not light and flakey but just very dense and crispy. I have tried all sorts of variation on where I place the rack in the oven, different types of baking sheets and oven temperatures but no matter what I do they are just not very good. I will not buy these again. The classic ones that rise overnight are the only ones I will buy.Date published: 2018-11-04Rated 4 out of 5 by ONeils from Remarkably good It took a few tries to get these right with my Miele convection oven, but the results have been very worth it. I bake at 360F for 20 min and get a very nice croissant. I put the croissants on a small sheet of parchment paper and that on a folded paper towel to catch extra butter. Taste and texture are perhaps not quite up to top-flight bistro standard, but very good and very much in the class of the much more finecky overnight versions.Date published: 2018-06-10Rated 5 out of 5 by KitchenFanatic from Not sure why everyone else is complaining... These were absolutely delicious. Just as good as the overnight rise croissants. I'm not sure where all these haters are coming from. Maybe they didn't read the directions? Don't listen to the bad reviews and try them for yourself.Date published: 2018-04-23
