Chuck Williams introduced our signature mulling spices over 50 years ago—and they’ve been a customer favorite ever since. His special recipe combines Korintje Grade-A cinnamon, Madagascar cloves and whole allspice berries with tangy bits of American orange peel. When you simmer the blend with apple cider or red wine, it fills your kitchen with a rich, spicy aroma that’s warm and welcoming as the drink itself.

Next Day Delivery
For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.
Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.
At Williams Sonoma, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Attention to design, materials, safety and construction are our priority. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any damage; we will arrange for a prompt replacement.
If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food, items shipped direct from the vendor or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Final sale items ending in .97 or .99 cannot be returned.

If you want your apple cider or mulled wine to have a full multi-layered spice flavor then only this product will do. Some people put the mulling spices in a spice ball or cheesecloth, but I like to just pour them in the cider and let the float around while it simmers. It gives the dry spice pieces and orange peel room grow back to normal size. And it's easy enough to strain out the spices when serving. I buy glass jugs of organic apple cider and simmer it with the spices for about 30 minutes (it makes your home smell wonderful!). If there is any leftover cider, let cool and use a funnel to pour it back into the glass jug and refrigerate. It will keep for at least a year on a dark shelf and kept in its airtight jar. Starting in the fall and all the way through spring, nothing makes a kitchen smell better than a small pot of cider with mulling spices on simmer. In a pinch, to freshen up the adjoining rooms, I have simmered a tablespoon of spices in a quart of water as a homey, inviting scent. Try simmering cider in the all clad slow cooker with these spices. At Christmas, I prefer a copper pot on the stove top with a nice ladle and mugs nearby. These spices are also good in hot buttered cider with rum.
