Rated 5 out of 5 by Scragglewart from Stays sharp I have quite a few graters and this one is probably my favorite. I have had it for many years and it is still sharp. Have used it often for parmesan cheese, nutmeg, lemon rind etc. Highly recommend.Date published: 2017-11-13Rated 5 out of 5 by rbcook from Best I have ever used. I have had this great tool for about 1 year and it is always a pleasure to use. I just used it again because I needed 4 tablespoons of citrus zest for a new recipe. I had forgotten how easy it was to use and to clean. I recommend it to all of my cooking pals.Date published: 2017-02-22Rated 5 out of 5 by cccjto from GREAT GIFT TOO I can't say enough good things about this product! I just had to get another one because I use it everyday and mine is always in the dishwasher. I now give it to everyone in my family and have started bringing it as a gift instead of a bottle wine when invited to dinner. You can use it for all kinds citrus jesting, a little bit of carrot or other root vegetable in your salad and all kinds of cheese, just keep the cheese very cold before grating. You will wonder how you ever did without this produce. The grating gloves are great too.Date published: 2015-09-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Vidi from My fav grater Its a wonderful to make orange, lemon zest! I grab it everytime I need to make zests! Must have tool in kitchenDate published: 2014-12-24Rated 5 out of 5 by PalmSpringsBaker from Microplane(R) Rasp Grater Perfect Rasp Grater! Ignore the negative reviews and use this amazing Microplane Rasp Grater as recommended. You Will Not Be Disappointed. Enjoy!Date published: 2014-02-09Rated 1 out of 5 by Rae56 from Poor quality Except for what I considered a hard to store size (long blade and large handle), I was satisfied with this item until yesterday. I noticed as I was trying to obtain some orange zest that it wasn't producing any. Upon inspection, it appeared that the little raised knife-edge "bumps" on the top of the blade were no longer raised, but lying almost completely flat. The only area on the blade that I could get to produce orange zest was the first inch or two off the handle (an unused area on the blade). So, I was grating the orange with those first couple inches of the blade, using enough pressure to obtain zest and not pith, when suddenly the blade bends right at the handle, nearly breaking completely off. Considering that I've only used this zester 8-10 times over the past 2 years, have always hand washed it and stored it in a drawer with blade cover in place, this is an unacceptable lack of quality for this tool.Date published: 2013-12-11Rated 5 out of 5 by HappyPerson from Greatest Invention! Just buy this....you will wonder how you lived without it. Just be careful of fingers and nails,,,,this thing is SHARP. Use and throw in dishwasher.Date published: 2013-09-27Rated 4 out of 5 by angelinagirl from A Time-Saving Tool in the Kitchen I am frankly just learning to use this tool, and so far it has been very good. Since we use a lot of ginger, I use it mainly to grate fresh ginger, but it also works extremely well in grating lemon and lime rind. I have very arthritic hands which cramp easily, so I especially appreciate the ease with which I can grate these foods. I also like the fact that it has a protective sheath. The only drawback is that the grated product must be guided (usually with my finger) into the prep bowl because it clings to the back of the plane.Date published: 2013-08-06
